While installing xp sp3. Error message: file missing check i333

Are you sure i333 is not actually i386? The i386 folder contains all the files Windows uses to install XP. If you have XP installed already and it is asking for the i386 folder, it wants you to put the original Windows XP folder into your CD drive. If you are attempting to install Windows XP with SP3, there is something wrong with your CD. To avoid this problem in the past you can do this:
Copy Windows XP Installation Files to Local Hard Disk SourcePath Raymond CC

How To Install East Asian Language Support In XP Without XP CD

  1. First, check to see if you have the i386 folder on your hard drive. This folder will have the East Asian Language Support files that you need to install. The i386 folder can be found here: C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386 or here: C:\i386
  2. If you cannot find the i386 folder, you will need to obtain a copy of the Windows XP CD and copy the i386 folder to a USB thumb drive.
  3. Click on the Start menu, open Control Panel, then open Regional and Language Options.
  4. Select the Languages tab and under the Supplemental language support frame, check the the box next to "install support for East Asian languages".
  5. Click on Ok or Apply, then you'll receive a dialog box which says that "The following file ' - ' is missing.." and it also allows you to specify a directory where it should be found. Click on Browse and select the "I386" folder on your hard drive or thumb drive.
  6. After the files are installed, you must restart your computer.

Sir, Please tell me How to install vlc player in redhat 5.0 linux. Thanks

How about:

Download the vlc-0.9.9a-7.el5.rf.i386.rpm RPM from http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/i386/dag/RPMS/

And then install it via the command:
yum localinstall vlc-0.9.9a-7.el5.rf.i386.rpm from the loaction you downloaded it to.

You may, also, need some other RPMs if there are unmet dependencies with your installed sofware.

Acer Aspire One Zg5 Audio driver not getting installed

Certian device driver installations might require existing system files to be modified which in return calls for the Windows Cab files which are normally in the i386 folder located on the Windows XP CD. If you have full access to this computer then all you have to do is find or borrow someone else's Windows XP Home CD and copy the i386 folder from the CD to somewhere on your local disk, root of C drive (C:\i386) would be fine. Then open the registry (Start > Run > regedit > OK) and modify the following value to point to the i386 folder.
Expand each of the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - MICROSOFT - WINDOWSNT - CURRENTVERSION, after you click on CurrentVersion on the right hand list, look for the value called "SourcePath". Double-click on 'SourcePath' and change its data to read C:\i386 (assuming that is where you copied that entire folder). Close registry editor, reboot and try installing the drivers again.

My computer Desktop is not running.

Hi hichris_4u

You should be able to replace the Explorer.exe. Type in the command prompt expand C:\I386\explorer.ex_ %systemroot%\explorer.exe This will expand a new copy to the windows directory.

You should also download a new version of SP2 and reinstall it. You also could download a clean copy of SP2 Click the Download button. The file is 266MB. Create a folder on the C:\ root called SP2 and download it there. Create another folder called SP2 files now at a command prompt type C:\SP2\WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe /x it’ll ask you to specify an directory so point it to the SP2 Files folder and let it extract there. Now type in the command prompt expand C:\SP2 Files\I386\explorer.ex_ %systemroot%\explorer.exe to expand a new copy to the windows directory.

If you get an error on destination, try expand C:\SP2 Files\I386\explorer.ex_ c:\windows\explorer.exe

If you expanding fron the I386 from the C:\ root try expand C:\I386\explorer.ex_ c:\windows\explorer.exe

If all fails, try and download SP2 onto another machine and then burn it to a CD for install.

Good Luck,

Mark

Back up disc did not work (appdrv1) NOW DRIVER CANNOT BE FOUND

You may be able to reinstall the keyboard driver. Using your windows disk copy the i386 directory to C:\i386 this will help in the future too. go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager. Look for the keyboard halfway down. It should have a little yellow ? choose it and select reinstall driver. Chances are when you installed windows it did not pull the cab file from the i386 directory.
