How to Boot From A Windows 7 Password Reset Disk?

Forgot Windows 7 password? It seems to be a universal iusse as widespread of Windows 7. To solve this problem, you can either buy a burned Windows password recovery CD on-line or burn such a password recovery disk withWindows 7 password reset software. But no matter which method you choose, you have to boot your locked computer from the password recovery disk. However, you will feel frustrated when you have little computer skill. Take these 2 methods as your reference when you encounter the similar problem.
Of course, firstly , you need to create a Windows 7 password reset disk, and then pay attention on how to boot from the Windows password reset disk .
Method OneInsert a burned Windows 7 password recovery CD in your locked computer boot the locked computer from the CD/DVD as follows:

1. Turn on or restart the locked computer, watch the screen for a message like "Press to http://www.passwordunlocker.enter SETUP "or something similar. Press this key as soon as you see the message to enter BIOS menu.
Note: The key pressed to enter BIOS is different based on manufacturers, but F2 or Delete are the most common keys
2. Set CD ROM to the first boot device according to the prompts on the right.

4. Press F10 to save and exit BIOS. You computer will restart with the changed BIOS settings

Method Two
If the method above doesn't work, you can also try to enter Boot Menu to boot the locked computer from the burned CD/DVD as follows:

1. Insert a Windows 7 password recovery CD in your locked computer.

2. How to fix a computer that will not boot

If your computer will not boot (i.e. it won't start up), you can fix it by utilizing a set of recovery discs.

I recommend the Windows 7 recovery disc, which can be downloaded from here. It works with Xp, Vista, and Windows 7.
(*Note: it will comes as an .iso file. You can either use a program like PowerISO or Nero to burn it to a CD or you can use a .iso burning program to extract the contents to a USB drive.)

 1. Load the recovery disc into the CD-ROM bay (or plug in the USB if your going that way).
 2. Restart your computer and boot from the Recovery Disc (this can be done by pressing BIOS options, shown at when you first power on your computer and changing the boot order so that the CD or USB boots before your hard drive.)
 3. Select the option "Repair your computer". Choose your operating system, select next, (if any prompts come up, select no- we want to fix our computer manually) and then click on Command prompt.
 4. You should see a blinking black box with a white cursor. Type in
bootrec /fixboot

press enter, then type

bootrec /fixmbr

type in exit, then select restart. Remember to remove the Cd (or USB) before you click on restart.

After that your computer should start be back to normal

I need a recovery disk software sr over the internet as i do not have an external cd dvive

you don't need it sent over the internet, you need to put the recovery disk image (an ISO file) on a USB flash drive and boot from the flash drive. First, use a program like Nero or MagicISO to make an image of the recovery CD. Then drag the ISO file into the USB drive. reboot your computer, make sure that your BIOS settings are set for you to boot from a USB (most netbooks and notebooks will be set for this by default) and it should boot to your recovery software. If you do not have the original recovery disks, got to the manufacturers website and you should be able download the bootable version of the recovery software.

To start the system recovery:

 1. Restart the netbook.
 2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the Alt and F10 keys repeatedly.
 3. If you are prompted with a Microsoft Windows boot screen, press the Enter key.
 4. After the system recovery program has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.
If the ability to reinstall from the previous method is not available or fails, recovery of the Operating System will need to be from Recovery Media. In order to recover the system using Acer Recovery Media, an external optical disc drive is required.
 1. Restart the netbook.
 2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the F2 key repeatedly.
 3. Press the Left Arrow key until you've selected Boot.
 4. Ensure that the external optical drive is plugged into a USB port.
 5. Refer to on screen instructions to set the first device to USB CDROM.
 6. Press the CD-ROM drive eject button and insert the disc labeled System CD.
 7. Close the CD-ROM tray.
 8. Press the F10 key and then the Enter key to save the changes and restart the netbook.
 9. The computer will boot from the Acer Recovery Media
 10. When prompted for the Recovery CD, remove the System CD and insert the Recovery CD. Note: If there are multiple Recovery CDs, please insert the first Recovery CD.
 11. After the system recovery program has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.
Note: If you do not have a set of Acer Recovery Media you may purchase recovery media online. If your computer is unable to run the Acer Recovery process, or errors occur during recovery please contact Acer Support.

Acer aspire one 1640Z XP BIOS RECOVERY WON'T READ USB WITH BIOS

if I understood correctly you have the recovery software loaded on a stick flash drive and you want to boot from usb to restore the pc .....There are a few things that you have to know about to do that ...
first you have to go to bios and enable boot from another device ....other than hdd /cd or flopy ... for some elder bios this isnt even a choice ..or ..if it is ,,it will be as a sub options into the hdd...choice ..
another thing that you have to keep in mind ..is that you have to disable the other options to force it boot from this one ...or ....to press f8 on boot and manually choose the usm or the stick name that will appear on boot devices...
the most important thing is that if you already formatted the hdd it does notr have a usb driver loaded and that why willl not see the device ...also the device you are using to boot ...has to be specially formatted to be bootable ....this is made ussualy with a hp format tool ...and it is explained in more than one places on the net ...just look for making a boot-able stick (usb device)
in short ...make sure the sticvk is boot-able ...second the pc ha s teh capability to boot from another device ...and this is a feature that you already enabled like first boot device ...
than things will be easy ...it will ask you to press any key to boot from the usb ...and continue like an installation from the cd ...
if you cannot do it ...I recommend using a cd ..or an image that you will ***** in a virtual cd ...for those that do not have cd drive ( use daemon tool )

My aspire one linux edition powered off during D2D recovery!

Download Unetbootin on your windows machine and use it to load the recovery disk on to a usb drive. plug the usb into the AA1 and boot. While it's booting hit the f12 key this will bring up boot choices. Select the usb drive and away you go. And please remember to have it plugged in. Or ask around and borrow a portable CD-Rom. During boot you will see the screen ask you to select f12 to select a boot option.
