How to format Sony 4 GB USB in FAT or NTFS after fail to Format?

You should be able to by going to my computer, then right clicking your USB device and either FORMAT or go to properties and on the tabs select tools and error check. You may have the possibility to Format there as well. If that fails I suggest downloading a separate program in linux, such as Hirens Pack...They have Hard Drive/Memory specific program applications + plenty of DOS applications at your fingertips for just about everything else...just be very careful which ones you choose to mess with. Only for advanced users. Hope this helps

I don't formats my kingston 64gb pen drive

Hi kingkumarae,
Due to viruses , the drive cannot be formatted in many cases, however if you want to format it ,

I would recommend that you restart your computer and plug in the pen drive and then do not autorun it.

When you do that , you can right click on the drive that you find in my computer and then rightly click on select format option, and then you can format your drive.

If this does not work in your computer you can possibly try it in your laptop using the same procedure.

Hope this helps ...:)

The 64gb flash disk is missing a file system

This means that the flash drive needs to be formatted. If you had data on it and it is now doing this out of the blue than it is probably broken.
If you need to format it do the following
plug it in to your computer, go to my computer, right click the flash drive and click format
WARNING THIS WILL WIPE WHATEVER DATA, MUSIC, PICTURES, ETC. YOU HAVE ON IT OR ANY OTHER DRIVE YOU TRY TO DO IT ON.

Plug into USB port... recognizes device when I click on it from my computer tells me to format the drive... I try but the format fails.?

Is your usb drive locked? The micro vault classic has a lock switch on it. This prevents you from writing data to it. Please make sure that is not in the lock position. Then plug it back into your pc and you can go ahead and format it.
