Hi Mark, it's Jack at Dyson.

Unfortunately if you have used your machine with a wet filter, it's possible that the motor and internal electronics may have been damaged. I would encourage you to contact us directly so we can take you through some diagnostic checks to confirm if this is the case.

You can reach the Dyson customer Helpline by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

My dc34 animal stopped mid use

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

Most Dyson vacuums have a built in safety system that stops the machine if it begins to overheat. This usually happens because the filter needs washing or your machine is blocked. If your machine turns off on its own, unplug it and leave it for at least an hour to cool down. Remember to check the filter and look for blockages before re-starting.

Why is it blowing out instead of sucking in

Either leaking or blockage! Check filters first then check seals!

DC44. Why doesn't it work?

It would have to have been dry completely before vacuuming. You will not have to replace the filter to get it working again.

Hoover nano cyclonic shut off while in use/no suction when turned back on

That is more than likely the problem, NEVER put wet or even damp filters back into your vac

No water from spray on base

I had same problem. Remove all fluid from machine, I used a wet dry vac. As someone else said unscrew the 2 screws that hold the filter basket. Take out the filter basket and clean thoroughly. Find plastic hose that is now visible under basket and pull up and remove that (noticing where the slot is to put it back when finished) and pull the screen off top of hose and clean that as well. I then vacuumed out that hose with my wet dry vac. Reassembled everything and now works perfectly.

I just ran my rainbow e series accidentally without the separator. What should I do?

Your Rainbow should be o.k if you completely dried it out. But rinsing the hepa filter has usually not worked out well for most people (soory for that news) but good news is that they should last around 8 to 10 years with no rinsing.

DISMANTLE DYSON DC34

Hi Alan, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm not sure if you're currently having an issue with your machine, or if you wanted to dismantle the components for routine maintenance.

We would strongly advise against dismantling your machine any further that shown in the user guide, as this may cause damage and could void any guarantee on the machine. You can find correct advice on how to use and maintain your machine on our Support page: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/dc34/dc34

If you're having a specific issue with your DC34, we'd appreciate the opportunity to take you through some quick diagnostic checks when you have the vacuum to hand. You can reach our experts directly on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).
