The picture you posted is too small. I don't see what you're referring to.

If Monitor doesn't show grey streaks , it seems to be a Hardware or driver Problem of your Dell Pc. Then...
    1. Check all cable connections ( which Connection did You use?) for proper fitting.
    2. Check Video Card driver. Has to be the correct and most recent one.
If that was okay, there was still the possibility, that
    3. the Video Card (if there is a dedicated one in your PC) is not plugged in respective Slot correctly anymore. ( To Double Check this, You Would have to open up the PC)
    4. or the Video Card is - maybe - defect.
    5. or you've Chosen wrong Resolution.
Last but not least... There can also be an Interference Problem with the magnetic Field of another electrical Product Close to the Monitor as well as a defect cable....
Unfortunately one does not know Details about the streaks (fixed or jumping).

I apologize for any Typing fault. I'm answering by using my iphone..

PS. This Fixya App is very uncomfortable to use with Iphone... Sorry for this "strange" reply.

SOURCE: ABC diagnostic lights are green and D is yellow.

A,B,C green and D yellow is indicative of a component failure...in that the system cannot read a device it feels necessary to boot the machine such as a hard drive, floppy or cd/dvd drive. Power down the system, remove the power cord from the back, push the power button in for 10 seconds to bleed off the power. Remove and reseat all cables connecting the system devices. Remove all ram except for one stick and reboot. If you get boot, then try replacing the ram one stick at a time. If you still cannot boot though, try removing the cables from the devices and then plug in one a time until you get the machine to boot. If there is still a problem, the hard drive or its controller maybe the culprit.

Fluctution in samsung monitor

Hi,

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and say that by fluctuating you mean it's flashing and whatnot. This can be caused by the lamp dying.

As for the lines on the screen, those are probably dead pixels, which can happen to monitors.

Unfortunately, it isn't exactly cheap to fix a monitor, and you might be better off buying one.

To be on the safe side, try taking it somewhere like Best Buy to confirm what I've said.

Hope this helped :)

Grey bands and shadowing

Uninstall the video driver from the Computer, restart the Computer then reinstall it. Furthermore, check for any updates for the video drivers.

You may also connect the monitor to any other normally functioning Computer to check if the lines remain there.

If it's so then the monitor requires servicing.

Getting lines across the monitor screen

It may have one of reasons:
1. "Dirty" supplying voltage in the monitor - check all electrolytic capacitor.
2. Bad controller chip - check if it gets extremely hot when working, also you may see darkened area on other side of the PCB where that chip is located.
3. Loosed connection between controller PCB and the display itself - disconnect the cable and clean contacts, especially of blade connector on display side, check if there are some overpressed contacts.
