Question about Dishwashers
Had to unscrew tower assembly &take out spray arm to clear cherry seeds blocking holes. After putting assembly back in it doesn't sit right. Longer portion of spray arm hits side of washer and gets stuck. Also, short screw that attaches assembly won't sit all the way in anymore. This is my mom's 20 year old dishwasher and she's very partial to it. Help!
Looks like that spray arm sits on a hub. http://www.appliance-parts-warehouse.com/general-electric-parts/General-Electric-Dishwasher-Parts/General-Electric-Parts-GSD1200G02/General-Electric-Parts-14059.cfm See if it is out of position on a cam assembly.

These parts can be replaced easily and reasosnably cheaply for example the top spray arm is about £20.00p. But you need the back water feed tube as well as the lower spray arm which should come as one package. (depending on model i'm going by bosch). You shouldn't have to pay more than £30.00p + p&p. Hope this helps.

you most likely have gunk inside the arm or holes not allowing the water to spray out and turn the arm. Otherwise, the arm bearing may be stuck and will need a gentle push to loosen up.
