Ge potscrubber GSD1200G02 lower spray arm gets stuck

Had to unscrew tower assembly &take out spray arm to clear cherry seeds blocking holes. After putting assembly back in it doesn't sit right. Longer portion of spray arm hits side of washer and gets stuck. Also, short screw that attaches assembly won't sit all the way in anymore. This is my mom's 20 year old dishwasher and she's very partial to it. Help!

SOURCE: dishwasher lower spray arm falls off

These parts can be replaced easily and reasosnably cheaply for example the top spray arm is about £20.00p. But you need the back water feed tube as well as the lower spray arm which should come as one package. (depending on model i'm going by bosch). You shouldn't have to pay more than £30.00p + p&p. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: upper spray arm on dishwasher does not move

you most likely have gunk inside the arm or holes not allowing the water to spray out and turn the arm. Otherwise, the arm bearing may be stuck and will need a gentle push to loosen up.

How do you remove the sprayer arm from a GE potscrubber 600

Thought I had a problem with the spray arm or pump because water was not flowing enough to spray the upper rack. But it turned out it was a simple part missing: the "check valve" that is in the lower neck of the spray arm assembly. It's a $10 part. Part #WD1X5488 for GE Potscrubber 600.

Indesit di620 dishwasher not spraying water from arms

Hi, you may want to try looking at all the holes in the spray arms. If you see anything blocking a hole, use the tweezers and remove the stuff.
Remove the bottom spray arm and check for items in the water delivery hole.Check the lower spray tower that is connected to the bottom rack. Make sure all rotating parts rotate properly. Look underneath to make sure nothing is stuck in the tower. Remove any stuff stuck that is preventing rotation or clogging the tower.

I have a GSD2800P35, about 1992 vintage. It keeps stopping on washer arm blockage fault every 2 or 3 minutes during the wash cycle but they are clear and clean inside. what else may be wrong and how can it...

The sensor responds to the lower ( main ) wash arm. If the spray holes in it are clear, and there are no objects sticking down through the rack which might block it, check to see how much water is in the tub. Low water level would cause the spray arm to become stationary or move too slowly. Some models have a small rubber flap which covers a drainage hole near the base of the main spray arm also, which closes with pressure of the water. Check if it is missing. Check the inlet screen to the pump motor to see if it is blocked with anything (seeds, plastic wrappers, etc.) which would starve the pump of water.

Heavy film left on dishes. when rinse only frunction is used in empty dishwasher with no soap, the door and interior are still not clean. soap scum remains.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Most of the time when you start having dirty dishes post wash there is either an internal blocked screen under the lower wash arm tower or a problem with the drain. The drain problem shows up mostly inside the Air-Gap cap or at the garbage disposal / sink port connection. Pull the cap / cover off of the Air-Gap and then NOTE the installed position of the inner cap. Unscrew the cap nut and lift the cap off of the Air-Gap assembly. Food particles block the drain inside the cap. You should see a blockage as soon as you lift the cap or the particulate falls away as you lift the cap. Look into the Air-Gap with a flash light and clear any debris. Re-install all Air-Gap parts after cleaning. Make sure to pull the hose off of the garbage disposal port and clean the port.

Add water via cycle fill and then test the drain cycle. The dishwasher should be empty in less than 90 seconds. After 90 seconds interrupt the drain cycle. There should NOT be standing water in the dishwasher sump. If you have standing water in the sump after 90 seconds you will have to remove the lower wash arm and tower to clean the screen or drain holes in the tower. (depending on modeL) Another thing to pay attention to is exactly HOW the lower wash arm is installed on the tower. Some of the 2 part lower wash arms can be a nightmare to re-assemble.
When in doubt take pictures first.... (Lesson learned the hard way too many times when a 30 minute job goes in to the 2nd hour on my time!) Just make sure you do NOT remove any motor pump mounting hardware where it mates to the tub base. Even loosening a motor pump bolt or screw can cause a leak after your done.

While the lower wash arm is removed make sure that you inspect and clean the inside of the wash arm. Often food particles can block the water spray holes in the wash arm.

IF you have a direct / no Air-Gap sink connection then pull off the hose at the sink connection and clear the connection hole of any debris.

One last thing to look for is clogged upper spray arm water holes. Just inspect for signs of blockage. Only remove it if you note food particulate in the holes or under the wash tower base.

I am speaking from many many years of in home appliance repair experience. The steps above should stop the dirty post wash dishes. If you still have the same issues please respond with an EXACT Make and Model Number so I can look at the mechanisms of your dishwasher before responding again.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Upper spray arm soes not spin

HI,

YOU WILL PROBABLY FIND THE TOP SPRAY ARM IS BLOCKED WITH FOOD. UNSCREW THE SPRAY ARM AND MAKE SURE ALL THE SMALL HOLES ARE CLEAR OF ANY BLOCKAGES AS THIS IS WHERE THE WATER COMES OUT OF TO WASH THE PLATES.IF THESES ARE BLOCKED THEN YOU GET POOR WASH RESULTS.

The diswasher arm does not rotate or spray water

Check the small holes on the spray arm. They are most likely plugged. (candy wrappers, tooth picks, popcorn or watermelon seeds, you name it.) Sometimes you can clear the holes out, other times it is just as easy (and not very expensive) to replace the spray arm(s). List your model number if you need part numbers or instructions on removing spray arm.

Rotory spray arm

The most likely cause is that some of the holes in the spray arm are blocked. Candy wrappers, tooth picks, seeds, nut shells or other food objects can get into the spray arm and block up the holes. If you can't get them cleaned out you may have to replace the spray arm.

GE POTSCRUBBER 1200 DISHWASHER

I have a Ge Potscrubber 1200. Fairly new I guess as I bought it with the house that I purchased 1 1/2 years ago. Sometimes it drains and sometimes it does not. Today there was two inches of water! About to remove the bottom panel. Sounds like the drain valve it blocked but not sure. Any thoughts?
