SOURCE: My Braun Oral-B Sonic Complete

I had the same problem today. I use the charging plug which has the "wrench" remove the bottom screw...I was attempting to remove the battery to reset the brush. I could not get the bottom of the brush off as I did not want to use a screw driver or similar to pry it off in case I needed to return the brush.

So I was trying to pull the bottom off and my finger was on the on/off switch, as I was wiggling the bottom of the brush to try to dislodge the battery it started working.

The brush seems to have a reset button on the back but that did not do anything. The display also has moisture trapped inside it, which I am sure is not good!

Any way try this and maybe the battery will come out and I am sure that will reset the brush...if not maybe you will get lucky as I did and wiggling it will work. BTW, this is with the Oral-B Triumph Professionla Care 9000

SOURCE: Braun Oral-B Triumph Professional Toothbrush won't shut off...

I think I may have just found issue with the problem, and that is that the inside of the unit has got wet. I suggest taking the casing off of the tooth brush and let it completely dry out, then test the unit. Hopefully this will fix your problem

SOURCE: how long does it take

The first time you use the unit, it should be charged for 24 hours or more.
When it needs charging, my unit takes over 24 hours to fully charge and then lasts around 14 days until it needs another charge.

Do electric toothbrushes require a different amount of toothpaste compared than manual toothbrushes?

No, you should put the same amount of toothpaste on all types of toothbrushes. You should put enough so you can clean your teeth well.

How often should I replace my manual toothbrush?

According to the Oral-B's website, manual toothbrushes should be replaced every 3-4 month because the bristles tend to become less effective for cleaning.

What are the advantages of electric toothbrushes?

Electric toothbrushes are an excellent tool to keep your teeth clean and healthy. They offer many advantages:

They allow you to remove plaque more efficiently and quicker than manual toothbrushes.

You don't need to brush hard in order to get good results. This means that you are much less likely to injure your gums.

People who suffer from physical conditions like arthritis find electric toothbrushes as a great replacement to manual toothbrushes because they are easier to grip and you don't need to use as much physical power to get your teeth cleaned (the powered brushes do the cleaning).

It is more fun to brush with electric toothbrushes compared to manual toothbrushes, especially for children.

I have bought many rechargeable devices and about 4-5% of them have bad Chinese batteries in them. I also have converted nearly all battery operated items to rechargeables and these often have spotty performance with several out of a couple of dozen not worth keeping. You might try running the batteries down as far as possible and then trying to recharge. If they are NiCads, they may have developed 'memory,' a known weakness of that type and NiMh batteries in particular seem to need several charge/discharge cycles before they will come somewhat up to their rated capacities.
