As far as I remember, this is a driver for a Sony computer. To be on the safe side, go to Sony's webpage (here), select your correct model and download the file from them.

Sorry that I can't be more specific, but you did not mention which computer you are using.

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

    Hi Yogesh,
Did you try to find a driver on the IBM page?
ADI is used by many computer makes and models, so you might get lucky there. Sony is just one of them. Sorry for that.

    Are you using WInXP?
Which exact IBM model do you have?

It looks like ADI doesn't even have a web page, so we might have to go from the computer manufacturer.

Go to Intel's webpage (here) and you can find the 865 Chipset boards under "Desktop Boards".
You have to find your exact model (D865GBF, D865GLC, etc.) and choose the Operating system you are running.

You can download sound, motherboard, and all other necessary drivers right there.

Burning software: CDburnerXP asked for a sound driver. Then a motherboard driver. Then a burning software. Want to tell me what you're planning to do?

If you are looking for a sound driver for an Intel motherboard
D865xxx, go here, scroll down and choose your MB from the list.
    Click on "BIOS & drivers".
Select your Operating system from the next page.
Download the sound driver for your motherboard.

There is no generic sound driver for the ADI9818. The driver is dependent on the motherboard.

I am having a problem to identify your motherboard (D865GDK). It is not in Intel's MB list.
You have to help me by going to this site, look through the MB's and help my identifying which one it is. (They also offer drivers if you hwant to go ahead and download them your self.)

    Here is IBM's ThinkCentre site.
You find model and Machine Type on a sticker on your computer.
(Usually on the bottom or the side)

Adi9818 sound driver

This depends on what kind of computer you have. If it's a whitebox and not branded, you can go to Intel's site and get the drivers for a specific motherboard. If it's a branded computer (like a Compaq, HP, etc) you need to go to the manufacturer's site.

Intel d865perl sound card drivers

left click this link & choose you're operating system for the Intel D865PERL motherboard drivers. (Reinstall the driver software).
For windows XP/home & pro. Click on this link;*+XP+Home+Edition&lang=eng&strOSs=45&submit=Go%21
After reinstalling the software & you're sound does not seem better than the built in sound chip may be going bad.
Other factors can also cause the effects you are having. Run windows system defrag. Also run windows Disk cleanup. These tools are found in windows System tools. Lastly you can buy & add a PCI sound card into an emty PCI slot to bypass the built in sound card. If you choose to do this you will need to enter the bios & disable the built in sound device.

Good Luck!
