Messed up setting up security code, now it doesn't work need to reset
Was trying to set up security code on my lg 8700 and I think I messed up how I put it in because it isn't excepting the password I put in. Now I can't lock my phone anymore. Is there a way to reset it back to default or do I have to go to telus to have them do it?

What do you mean by security code, LG GD330 network unlock code or LG password unlock code to access your phone? If you only need password unlock code, just reset your lg to default factory setting that procedure will bring your phone like new and you can setup new password. But if you need lg network unlock code, you can buy that from online unlock code seller on the internet.
As you put incorrect password three times or more depending on your mobile model, it will have ask for the PUK code.
To get the PUK code please call your service provider they are the one who can provide you the PUK code. They have a security check so as to make sure the mobile is yours. After you satify them they will provide you the PUK code.
Please enter the PUK code and you can type new password.
You could try entering random codes until it asks for a PUK code, if it doesnt ask for one already.
Now call you carriers help line and ask the person for a PUK code (You should have paper and a writing utensil ready for this)
Input the codes you given and that should reset the security code and you can use the phone normally.
codes & passwords Your phone’s 4-digit unlock code is originally set to 1234. The 6-digit security code is originally set to 000000. If your service provider didn’t change these codes, you should change them: Find it: Press M > Settings > Security > New Passwords You can also change your SIM PIN or call barring passwords. If you forget your unlock code: At the Enter Unlock Code prompt, try entering 1234 or the last four digits of your phone number. If that doesn’t work, press M and enter your 6-digit security code instead. If you forget other codes: If you forget your security code, SIM PIN code, PIN2 code, or call barring password, contact
