Re: my keyboard is not working well

Most likely, this is a hardware problem rather than a software one. While viruses and malware can cause oddities in keyboard and mice behavior, what both of you are describing appears to be due to the actual keys. On most laptops, except for more recent versions, the keyboard is one "unit". That is, if you were to pull off all of the keys on a keyboard, you would find that it is really just a series of buttons next to each other without physical separation between them. This means that it is quite possible to get solid or liquid debris (dust, dirt, food, etc.) into the cracks in between the keys. Over time this can accumulate to the point where nearby keys can get stuck together in such a way that when one key is pushed, the others also activate. To remedy this, I would purchase some cleaning fluid at any computer/electronics store (be sure to look for ones that are approved for use on laptop keyboards), a can of compressed air may also be useful, although it is possible that it would make the problem worse.

When the computer is turned off, apply the cleaning fluid and either make use of the compressed air or a vacuum cleaner near the problem keys. For maximum benefit, you can attempt to remove some of the keys to further get at any debris. After this, let the computer sit for a while (if you have used a liquid cleaning fluid) to be sure that it is completely dry. Restart the computer and see if the problem has resolved itself. Repeat if necessary.

This afternoon my laptop was working fine, then the keyboard started messing up, when I pressed any letter it came up with 4 other letters. Then i pressed '9' once and it continuously typed 9 until I

First thing I would ask is this. Was anything spilled on the key board? I had a situation similar to this and I found that my son spilled a Sprite and wiped it up but didn't tell me about it. One way to check this is to hook an aftermarket keyboard that runs off your USB2 port and see if the keys work correctly that way. If they do, I would suspect that something was spilled into your laptop keyboard.

Juice spilled on dell laptop, the problem is when i press certain keys 3 or 4 letters apear,it is the same with a new keyboard

If that happens with a new keyboard then the mother board is faulty and a replacement laptop is on the horizon. What happens with an external (USB) keyboard?
Hope this helps.

When i type a letter A appers AZ, or letter s apears sxw ,all letters on 4th line on my keyboard when i click apears like that AZ SX DC FV G H JMU K, L.

first try a good cleaning with canned air then try it again if no improvement you might wanna try lifting your keyboard up and try to have the cable re-seated into the motherboard they can come ajar over time if none of those work it could be a keyboard failure new ones go for around 40-50$ new so try those tips you can also use an external in the mean time good luck

When you type the letter u i o p j k l m number will apear instead of letter why?

Usually it's because the number lock is locked on.

Check your keyboard carefully for a key that reads "num lock" press it once and you should be good to go :)

p.s. If it's in blue sometimes you need to press FN + 'num lock"

Hope this helps!

I press certain letter keys and numbers appear, the number keys are fine just the letters, what is the fix for this error?

You have your numbers lock on, press the NumLk key and that should correct it. You will notice on you keyboard that there are small numbers on it below some of the letters, this is so you can use the keyboard has a 10 key number pad/ calculator etc. If pressing the NumLk key does not work, the key may be stuck or you have a bad keyboard

First boot to the Utility partition and run diagnostics on the keyboard (Fn Power button) see if they keys work correctly in the Dell Diagnostics keyboard test. If they do not, then either the keyboard or the motherboard is bad and I'd replace the keyboard first.
If the keyboard functions normally in the DIAGs, then the issue is most likely the regional and language settings in CONTROL Panel

My keyboard is not working

ok, if u have installed any RAM or BIOS battery now is the time to tell me, or if what i just said made no sense then ur keyboard either has something spilt on it or its ribbon connection to the motherboard or daughterboard (depending in the laptop) is loose. about $25 down at a IT repair shop will fix that. if u want further explanation reply here,
