Re: wi fi

You will need to get a wireless USB network adapter. The cost starts at 39$..You will get a good one for abt 50$.Next contact a wireless internet  service provider...And he will have it setup for you .This is easy to use and after using it you can just disconnect the USB device and keep it out of reach of your brother..

Can I connect my Pocket WI FI to Router with USB Port so that I can share my Internet connection to my other computers.

Pocket WI-FI? Doesn't that mean that it gives wireless internet? Or is it that all your computers are not WI-FI capable? If your computer have wireless connection, all you have to do is connect your computers to the pocket WI-FI. And yes, you can use the router as a repeater, but only if the router have that capability? Just Google how to use a router as a wireless repeater and it should give you a few options.

I was thinking about buying this but i was thinking if i have this would i still need an internet at my house or would this work even if i dont have own internet at home?

You definately need to have internet connection. Wi-fi Router can only provide you the facility to access internet wirelessly within its range. In order to do so, you have to connect the router to your DSL modem.

Hope it Helps!

Just purchased a pc. i am using dial-up. do i have to have dsl to use my pc (wireless)

Yes....there is hardly nothing that you can use dialup for now.....only used as a backup for most businesses. Most photo, videos, music will take hours to days to complete using wireless. Dialup runs in kbps where wireless runs in Mbps. You might want to consider using broadband if you really want to use dialup otherwise you won't be able to get a good internet connection.

DSL-2640U connect to internet but want to setup second dialup connection from pc

Sounds like you have high speed internet and also want a dialup connection as well. Maybe as a backup.
Anyway, your pc will need have a dialup modem installed in it.
If you already have one installed then you will also need a dialup ISP account. Some times an ISP will provide dialup in addition to broadband. Ask you ISP or call AOL.

Can not get internet on sons psp need some help

i need to know if you have a wireless network in your house. if u dont then you wont be able to connect to the internet. if that be the case then disregard the rest of this message, and you need to go buy a wireless router. they run about $40-$60 for decent ones. i would recommend a linksys router. they are usually a good price and a good product.

If u do have a wireless network then u most likely need to contact to person who set up your network and have them add the deceive's MAC address to your router's list of allowed devices.

or it could be something as simple as turning the wi-fi switch on.(on the bottom left corner of the device)

How to get wi fi at home for itouch?

Your better bet is a wireless access point. It plugs into your router and can be configured to be transparent to the network so that any IP address you get for your wireless device comes from the original router (better for networking).

At the blinkingly fast speeds of your Wireless internet, "N" is a waste. Get the "G". Here's a link to the product I would runs about $50.

Cannot get ipod touch to connect to wireless network

Many Wi-Fi issues can be resolved by doing the following:
Basic troubleshooting
  • Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
  • Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
  • Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
  • Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
