Question about Toshiba DKT 3010 Corded Phone

1 Answer

Call Forwarding (External)

How can this be done?  I have not been able to find a solution that works in any of the guides that I have looked at.  I do not believe that the guide I was given is for the DKT 3010-S that I was given.

Re: Call Forwarding (External)

The manual for this phone can be found here

I had the same problem with our phone, the problem may be the administrator of the phone system needs to give you call forwarding rights on your phone. if you do not have these right the manual does you no good. call forwarding starts on page 30

How do you forward extenions

Forward to what? In a TA system call forwarding is 711 for all calls, 712 for Busy/No Answer and 713 for external calls, in the form of 71(1/2) ext and # or 713 (access code, 9 or 8x) number and #. External call forwarding has to be enabled in Class of Service for it to work.

Nortel T7316E Call Forwarding - Outside Line

The Nortel call forwarding (feature 4) is for forwarding the ringing and intercom from one extension to another.ex. if you were going to be working in the conference rm. instead of at your desk, with the forward on to the conference rm. extension, the calls you get at your desk will transfer to the conference rm. phone. Call forwarding through your service provider is done by accessing the telephone line you wish to forward, dial *72 (you should get dialtone reordered)and dial the telephone number to where you want the calls to be forwarded to. the party on where your forwarding the line to has to answer the line for the forward to take place. to remove call forwarding , access the line you have the forward on and dial * 73, you should recieve a stuttered dialtone for confirmation that the service is off

All of my external calls go straight to VM!

sounds like you are call forwarded. But to know this you should plug in a phone that has a display. Also it depends on your system, being a 3XXX series phone you most likely have a CTX and the call forwarding codes can be found here

I have a Norstar phone system that is probably 15 years old. I'm trying to set up call forwarding for incoming external calls at night. I've done lots Googling and have found solutions that are not well...

Where are you trying to forward your calls to? Internal or External? We will nee to know what model Norstar it is. The newer ones could forward to a cell, but it was only on recent software.

When we hit *72 the phones automatically go to an answering service (previous employee left and we don't know how it is done) and we no longer have that service so our phones don't forward anywhere. How...

sounds more like an external call forwarding(*72), my guess is that its on a one touch speed dial button. you can either dial the call forwarding manually by pressing the line you wish to forward dialing *72 then the number you wish to transfer to or you can re-program the one touch button by pressing feature 00 pressing the button you want to program and entering the new call forwarding number (i.e. *72 hold 123-4567 *the hold key is a pause).

Transfer calls

You need two things to do this. Call Forwarding and a class of service that lets you dial off premise. If you look under Call Forward in your user guide, you just set CF and dial 9 plus the number. It will either work or not. If it does not, then your system administrator/programmer will have to open up trunk to trunk connections for call forward external. There will be some class of service issues to allow only what is needed and prevent toll abuse.

Hi you should be able to do this by pressing either 601 + 9- ( external number) or 605 +-9 (external number) please be aware that forwarding to external only works if the inbound caller is going to an extension and not a group. I have posted a video which will help, there are another 63 like this covering Samsung Prostar DCS issues at
