Sounds like your touchpad may be turned off, there is a button on their somewhere to turn it back on, or plug a mouse in.

SOURCE: unfreeze a cursor on Lenovo laptop

hi! just a tip in most cases this works. try to do power drain, try to turn off the computer make sure that it is completely turned off, remove the battery and the ac adapter and anything that is plugged on to your computer. press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. try to put the battery back and the ac adapter as well, try to power it on. if still doesnt work try to uninstall and re install the touchpad driver for your lenovo laptop. hope this would help! goodluck!

My lenovo laptop cursor is frozen, can you unfreeze it?

Hi Julia.

Have you tried restarting your computer? The manual for your device shows there's a keyboard command to turn the cursor on or off.

Fn + F6

I've attached the manual for your reference, below:

Hope this helps!

Keep cursor moving and and drive

if the cursor is moving by it self you do have a virus. When you restart the computer bring it up in safe mode and check for a virus using maleware byte from Cnet.com

If you reboot then run CHKDSK/F to clear any hard drive errors then download iobit.com the free registry utility and more, run the registry utility and that should fix it. If not download an updated driver from hp.com
Hope that helps.

My cursor wont move when I use the onboard mouse on my Lenovo N500 laptop. How do I unfreeze it

Hi
There is a little button that controls the cursor of your laptop. All you need to do is to press the button just right above the onboard mouse and it would unfreeze. You might have also mistakenly poured water or any liquid on thar surface,it could also affect the cursor.
GOODLUCK

How do you unfreeze the cursor when it won't unfreeze even after restarting?

Try an external mouse. It sounds like your built in pointing device isn't working. It could be a hardware or a driver issue, but an external should get you up and working quickly.
