SOURCE: lumbar bladder loses air

you will need to take it to an upholsterer - have them remove the skin of the seat and install a new one - then put the seat back in.

SOURCE: ba falcon heater

Just had the same thing happen to my BA. No hot air. I'm a bit of a handyman so I had a go myself. 8 Hours is a reasonable estimate. You have to remove the steering column and entire dashboard to get the bugger out. Not a job I would attempt again.

SOURCE: Front seat will not slide forward? The seat will move up and down, tilt, and the lumbar works? Even the heated/cooling seat works? What do I need to look for and how do I fix it:?

The power seat in the truck has 3 motors, one of them is not working, the most common cause of this is the power seat switch is defective, it is often the forward and reverse seat positioning switch that fails because it is the one that is most used. If the switch checks ok then you will need to replace the the power seat track assembly, Ford does not sell any parts for the track, it is only available as one complete unit, I know this because i retired form a Ford dealer. Please rate my help for Fixya. Thanks

How to remove rear axle from 2004 ba ford falcon

Hi there.
Well first jack up the rear end of car then block up the front wheels (front and rear) and put stands under the rear jacking points STILL keeping the pressure on the jack, clamp the rear brake pipe that comes from the body to the rear axle and clamp with a small clamp
but dont tighten to tight remove the flex pipe and also the rear shockers from the axle ,then the spring u bolts and then the hand brake cable from the center adjuster, now it should only leave your tail shaft 4 nuts/bolts.
But why are you removing the rear/axle????

Driver's seat stuck. Lumbard support works,

HI. There are only two causes for this particular issue. The most common will be a failed switch assembly. This should be located on the side of the drivers seat. This switch is responsible for transferring the movement commands to the actual motor/gear assembly, which is located on the rail structure under the seat in question. If your lumbar section is responding to commands, but the others fail, this will lead to a failed switch circuit. the entire switch board will need to be replaced, in this case.

Now, if you command the set to move forward, and all you hear is the motor running , but no movement, this will lead to a failed gear assembly. This will be the second cause of no forward/backwards movement. In this case, the entire motor/gear assembly will need to be replaced, due to the fact that the gears are not sold separately. The are shipped as a kit with the motor.

It is required that you order this type of replacement part directly from the dealership.

  • NOTE_ I have seen in most cases that the there was jam, due to pieces of the gear assembly breaking off, and jamming up the mechanism. in order to properly inspect for damage of this nature, it will be necessary to remove the seat.

HOW TO ADJUST DRIVER'S SEAT IN HYUNDAI ELANTRA

There is a lever on the left side by your **** that tilts the seat forward or back. There are knobs on the side that you turn to raise the seat front up or down, there is a handle under the front of the seat that you either pull up or pull to the left to slide the seat front or back. And depending on the seat there might be a lever on the left side of the seat back that controls how much lumbar support.

No lumbar support

There are several problems that could exist. Firstly I would check the fuses. If all are good, either the knob has quit working, or the motor that increases and decreases the support has gone out. If you can find the positive and negative wires going from the wheel to the motor, you can test it with a voltometer. You would have to have a manual to identify the wires. But if you can, test to see if the knob is sending an electric signal to the motor in the seat. If there is a signal going through, the motor is out. If there is not a signal going out, the knob has probably gone out. Hope this helps.

I have 2002 CE with standard front seat, non power. I would like to replace it with a firm comfortable seat, with a lumbar support. Any suggestions as to options. Can I Install a Jetta seat, or say volvo...

You can install any seat. Check for proper and make sure that nothing interfere with seat when adjustment is needed. for most situation all you you have to do is redrill the mounting bolt and install washers to ensure that the seat wont come out of it's foundation when you have an accident or sudden stop.

The Lumbar support adjustment fails

I wonder if you dont have a bad switch. I had a similar problem on my car except that it was the heated seats that would not engage... the power seat buttons all worked just fine. I changed the switch and it fixed the problem...

Note: this was on a BMW not a Murano
