On my TI-83+ when trying to unarchive a app I get ERR: VARIABLE. I have deleted the app but when I put it back on my calculator it was archived again and I got the same message.

Applications on the TI-83+ cannot be unarchived. Flash applications on the TI calculators need to stay archived until they are run; it is the way the calculator functions. The application should run fine the way it is. Programs, on the other hand, can only be run while unarchived and in the memory. Are you sure you don't mean to unarchive a program instead of a flash application?

On my TI 83 Plus I can only get the first option under the 'apps' key to come up. The other four options do not come up. I can't fix this situation.

What are the options you are referring to? On a TI8xPlus family of calculators, the option [1:finance] is part of the OS. It cannot be erased nor deleted. Any other application you transfer on the calculator will be listed after the [1:Finance]. What I suspect is that you or someone else erased the other applications. Just go to the and download what you need.

I somehow deleted all my apps on my TI-84 Plus Silver Edition how do i get those apps back?

Here is the link to the latest software for the TI84Plus /SE calculator. You will find the preloaded applications and additional ones. If you need other software visit the website

To install them on the calculator, use the TI-connect software in conjunction with the TI USB SilverCable or the USB Direct Cable.
Connect calculator to computer.
  1. Open the TI Connect software.
  2. Drag and Drop the applications on the TI Connect software and let them install.
  3. Make sure batteries are good.
  4. Install one Application, then quit to permit de-fragmentation.
  5. Restart with another application.

In the TI-83 plus, i don't have a Y1 list in the 2nd graph menu. All I have is X and it wont let me scroll up to the X, it just keeps scrolling up into neg. numbers

To fix that problem, you have to delete all of the applications/programs, I forgot which. I had to do it on mine and I could graph anything after, but it deletes everything in your calculator, including your games.

My TI-83 Plus appears locked up no flashing

Try [2nd], [MODE] or [2nd] [ON] or [CLEAR] or take out a battery, this won't erase anything whatsoever as long as you have the factory back up battery in it, which unless you took it out, don't worry, you have it
