SOURCE: older Alpine car stereo light problem

It's probably a solder in lamp. They can tend to be very tiny. About the size of the head of a paper match or smaller. If you're not good with soldering then I would suggest you go to a repair shop and let them do it. Good luck.

SOURCE: my dual xd7500 cd player doesnt turn on anymore

Is the red wire in the back hooked up to a power source? You will need that in order for it to turn on. It is the wire tells the radio to turn on when you turn your key.

SOURCE: I have a Dual XD 7500 N car radio and wish to hook up my ipod.

Yes, there should be a 3.5mm connector on the unit (same connector as your iPod headphones jack)
Dual refers to this as the "iPlug" in the user's manual

SOURCE: JVC stereo not working properly - 2001 Sonata

generally wiring from the car is as follows...

red = ignition controlled live
yellow = permanent live

if you want stations saved and manual switch off of uni connect radio's yelow and red wires to the cars yellow.

if you want stations saved and radiounit switch off controlled by ignition (i.e only when car is running) then yellow to yellow and red to red. anything else will cause issues...

Changed car battery and the dual car stereo won't work now. reset the stereo and the security light is flashing and the stereo still won't work?

Your solution depends on the brand and model number of your stereo system I take it your stereo system is Ruth is included in a anti-theft device this is highly technical and manufacture specific you need to follow the instructions for installing the system initially somehow your system lost sanity. You need to unplug the fuse that goes to your stereo turn your stereo switch on and let it sit for a day then return with the users manual and go through the installation sequence that has to do with connecting power and setting default settings other than that you have to contact the manufacturer

Xdma760 dual still no one has told me what I should do to get Pandora on my stereo

If I'm not mistaken, your stereo should have a USB port, plug your phone into that and use pandora from your phone, of course you would select a line in input or USB input on your stereo to allow it to run thru the stereo

New dual marine stereo worked the day I hooked it up the following day I've got power but no sound Any possible solutions?

Make sure everything is properly connected.Try other speakers also check if there is a reset button at the back of the face plate. If it still has no sound it could be the output IC is blown .

I installed a dual xr4115 car stereo in my 1997 jeep cherokee, it has power but no sound. I made sure all speaker wires were hooked up correctly but still nothing.

I have the same problem: Has power but no sound. My installation is in a 1994 Mazda B4000. I put a DMM on each speaker wire and they all read 55 Ohms, so the speakers are good. I also swapped out the head unit at the store to rule out manufacturing defect. All looks good but still have the same issue. Any help would be appreciated.

I hooked up a dual radio to my 1987 dodge ram the radio comes on but no sound and the dash lights went out

Sounds like you have the stereo ground wired into the wire that dims the light on the factory stereo when the headlights turn on. Rewire stereo with proper ground, check all other wiring to insure it's done properly,replace blown fuses for lights & stereo. Should be good to go.

I had bought a dual xd1222 aftermarket stereo. i bought a gm2000 harness for it to hook up in my 2002 chevy cavalier. i have all the wires connected but when i hook it up in the carit will not work. what...

check the fuse behind the stereo and in your fuse box first off and make sure the power wire/ignition wires are on the correct pin. do this with a test light for verification. also check the ground wire. after you test and connect these 3 wires, the stereo should turn on. Your wiring harness may not be done correctly so visual verification with a test light would be the best thing before starting a car install. If this still does not work and the stereo you took out did, it is a malfunctioning unit.

I have the dual xdv8125 car stereo and i hook all the wires up but nothn comes on. its hooked upto a 12volt dc power converter box. it wont do nothing at all.

Make sure that the DC has more than 3/5Amps rating with good DC to make the set working. Test with a car battery to confirm your connection if not check the speaker connections, the main power, switched power and ground must be in order.
