Most likely the problem has been caused by adding new hardware or updating drivers. Can also be caused by installing new programs. You will need to boot into safe mode and remove new hardware / driver / software. To enter safe mode on some laptops keep pressing F8 as you turn on your laptop.

Acer computer keeps crashing

Best thing to try before anything is to run your computer in safe mode.
Make sure the computer is off and not in sleep or in hibernate.
Power the computer on and click the F8 key till you see below image.
Image is from a Windows 7 - Most versions of windows will be the same Or similar. Screen defaults to 640 X 480 in safe-mode!

Choose safe mode with networking. If while running your computer in safe mode and it never blue screens - Then chances are, you have a software, driver or virus issue - Most cases. If your computer continues to crash in safe mode. Your system most likely has a hardware issue. Common: Computer Memory and/or hard drive.

Laptop keeps on getting the blue screen of death

That's not the blue screen of death, probably just a registry problem. Re-start and hold down the F5 or F8 key and select SAFE MODE. Let the computer start in SAFE MODE and go through the usual process, but make sure you select a user who is also an ADMINISTRATOR. This usually fixes the problem and you can then RESTART normally.

My laptop go on then blue screen then turn off

There is one solution for your BSOD problem and it's free,, As soon as you turn laptop on, keep tapping F8 until another screen appears,, then choose safe mode with networking.
Type tdsskiller.exe into google and download from the first site listed. Download the exe not the zip.
once downloaded install to your desktop. Once installed open tdsskiller and run a scan,
Once scan is complete select cure. Once cured, Please reboot your system and you will have no further blue screen errors.. Hope this helps and please rate,,

Toshiba sataellite a105 goes to winxp then blue screen comes on

You need to run the windows in safe mode.
Shut the computer down wait for 30 secs turn it back on
Tap on the F8 key few times then you will see windows advance option then select
safe mode using the arrow keys then proceeed to the windows in safe mode. Once you are in windows run a system restore to a back date when it was working fine.
To go into system restore tool click on start select accessories and the system tools and then system restore.
Select restore my computer to an earlier time and click the date in the calender box once highlighted hit next and wait till the process completes once completed it will restart the system automatically and will give you a message your computer was restored successfully in case it says not restored then you can select another Bold date i mean a previous date to retry again.

I have a eee pc 900hd and I keep getting the safe mode option

if a blue screen pops up with white writing theres something seriously wrong with your laptop a blue screen on a computer is the worst possible thing that could happen apart from the thing actually exploding and can be caused by a wide range of things, my suggestion would be to reinstall windows as it will basically give you brand new computer with no errors

When i turn laptop on it goes through the motions then a blue screen appears (not long enough to read) and my laptop turns off and starts again but never actually fully turns on.

It is your harddisk bed indexing issue.
You can solve it if you can able to run "chkdsk /r' command
When you ower up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode .
Then go to start menu then type in run 'chkdsk /r'
then press "y'
then restart the computer then it fix error on harddisk.
but your computer is not start in safe mode then you need winxp bootable disk or recovery disk.
then boot your computer with that disk then go to recovery console mode then type in prompt "chkdsk /r'

Some times blue screen error comes when some software conflicts with os.
So uninstall recent installed software from computer if you able to enter in safe mode.

Restarting

Try going into safe mode and see if the machine will keep running. If it does then start disabling start up programs until you find the culprit. If it won't keep running in safe mode then suspect hardware fault and take it in for repair.

When i turn on my laptop, it will say there was a problem starting windows and then asks me to choose either safe mode, safe mode with networking, last know configuration, or start windows xp normally. ...

Good day.
Usually that problem occur when their was changes made in your laptop maybe settings, or defualt setting before the computer was restarted, that makes the windows react that way or maybe virus infect your laptop. Some problem can be solve in safe mode, but since safe mode cannot be fixed, I think you have to re-install the program, but you have to back-up first all your important files before you fixed it.
Thank you.
