It's pretty easy. Just take the XMB all the way to the left side where the profiles are at. Hit the triangle button and a couple of options will come up. one of them will be "delete profile". It'll tell you that all that profiles saved data will be lost. Just accept that & wave good-bye!

  • Delete the PS3 system user profile that is associated with your Sony Entertainment Network account by going to Users and highlighting the user you want to delete. Press the Triangle button and select "[Delete] to delete the user. Please note that there is no need to delete your Sony Entertainment Network account.
  • Create a new PS3 system user by going to Users > [Create New User] on the XMB Menu.
  • Sign in to PlayStation Network from the new user profile to sync your trophies.

First, try deleting the user profile associated with that PSN account.

Log in as the profile you want to delete, then go all the way to the left in the XMB to profiles. Scroll down to the user you want removed and press the triangle button. It'll give you a list of things, which includes "delete."

Regards.

Everytime i switch my laptop on it keeps saying i have logged on with a temp profile;what have i done wrong,it says go to log event for details, where,s that

This issue may occur if the user profile was manually deleted by using the command prompt or by using Windows Explorer. A profile that is manually deleted does not remove the security identifier (SID) from the profile list in the registry.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1. Delete the profile by using the Computer Properties dialog box. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Click Start, right-click Computer, and then click Properties.
b. Click Change settings.
c. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
d. Under User Profiles, click Settings.
e. In the User Profiles dialog box, select the profile that you want to delete, click Delete, and then click OK.

2. Click StartCollapse this imageExpand this ima, type regedit in the Start search box, and then press ENTER.

3. Locate and then expand the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

4. Right-click the SID that you want to remove, and then click Delete.

5. Log on to the computer and create a new profile.

Best of luck.

Non ntfs problem

One possible work around
Provided you have access to another PC and feel comfortable with taking your hard drive out of your PC and putting it back in

1. buy a USB external hard drive enclosure and install your hard drive into it
2. connect this USB hard drive to another PC
3. create some free space by deleting some files (see Safe files to delete below for details)
4. reinstall hard drive back into your PC and try to boot normally

Safe files to delete
1. temporary files - on Win XP these are normally in "C:\WINDOWS\Temp"
2. temporary internet files - on Win XP these are normally in "C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Username]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files"
3. other temporary files - on Win XP these are normally in "C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Username]\Local Settings\Temp"
Note that if you have more than one user account on the PC, then each user could have files that are safe to delete in the folders mentioned in number 2 and 3
