How can i get s & w model 78g to hold co2 long enough to shot

Hi -
You need to reseal the 78G, that is, have the seals replaced. That model has six o-rings. I'd buy urethane o-rings for long lasting seals and use Pellgun Oil from Crosman to lube them. You can find the o-rings in a kit on eBay at a great price. If you need a gunsmith, you can find them online quite easily.
Hope this helps! - Fred

1 Answer I have a CO2 300 air rifle that I have for many, many years. When I put a CO2 carridge in it the air escapes before I can shot more that a couple BB's. I don't know if the air...

i am almost 100 percent sure that it is just a seal, CO2 is bad for drying out seals. Replace the seal and see if that fixes the problem, and if it does, go get some oil for firearms and put it on the seal before every 3 CO2 canisters.

I have a crosman 38t that I haven't used in awhile when I put they co2 cartridge in it leakses all out within seconds, what can I do???

It is likely some seals need to be replaced. I have had my 38 T for MANY years and have had the same problem. Seal kits are available, but not from Crosman. GOOGLE "Crosman 38 T seal kits" and you should be able to find where to order from. The cost is around$20+ for a complete set.

Btw, the reply from Norsky812 is waaay off the mark about the BB's. You clearly stated you have a Crosman 38 T, this gun shoots PELLETS.

Daisy CO2 200 pistol needs seals I think.

Try oiling it first. In the CO2 cartridge well, there is an oil spot. Put some 3-in-1 oil in that. If not, check out this link to see how to fix the seals on the pistol.

After inserting and compressing the CO2 cartridge, the CO2 leaks

You need to check the rubber o-ring seals both in the plug and there could be another up in the gun where the cartridge end meets the inside. If you have a broken o-ring you should be able to find one that fits at your local hardware store or store that sells air rifles. Hope this helps.

CO2 ctge expels as it is inserted into handle

Your first problem may be your seals. if the base seals have not been oiled since you bought the gun they may have weakened or cracked to the point that they no longer make an effective seal against your 12g cartridge. For now, add some gun or machine oil. If that fails you can buy seal kits from whoever made your gun, and possibly have your local gunsmith install them if he is able to. This all depends on what the gun is worth to you.
