HP 2015n only prints after power cycle

I have HP LaserJet 2015n that will only print after a power cycle. The jobs send to the printer as normal, but the printer does nothing. When the printer is then turned off and on the previously sent jobs print out. The printer is connect to the network via a computer. This problem occurs no matter what computer I print from.

    On your Printer's Properties>Advanced tab is the selection made to spool and begin printing immediately?

Try to connect the printer to a computer independently from the network just to make sure if the problem lies with the network or printer.

    have you tried removing the drivers and then reinstalling again

    Memory Allocation Utilities or jobs that you download to the product sometimes include resources (for example, fonts, macros, or patterns). Resources that are internally marked as permanent remain in the product memory until you turn the product off.
    Use the following guidelines if you use the page description language (PDL) ability to mark resources as permanent. For technical details, see an appropriate PDL reference for PCL or PS.
    • Mark resources as permanent only when it is absolutely necessary that they remain in memory while the product is turned on.
    • Send permanent resources to the product only at the beginning of a print job and not while the product is printing.
    NOTE: Overusing permanent resources or downloading them while the product is printing might affect product performance or the ability to print complex pages.

    HP Color LaserJet 8550N control panel message "Out of memory job cleared." How do I free up, or clear the memory?


    Power cycle the printer and reprint the job.
    If error occurs again, install more memory in the printer.

    Is it just one job that causes the error or is it everything that you print
    How much memory is in your printer?

    If you don't know, print a config page.

    My printer hp laserjet 2015n get hangs frequently, at the same point of time i have to restart the printer and then it starts working..


    Go to START MENU
    Choose RUN
    Type the letter "cmd"
    Type the word "net stop spooler"
    Exit
    Go to C drive
    Choose to Windows Folder
    Click show content
    Choose system32 folder
    Choose spool folder
    Choose printer
    And delete all printing jobs pending
    Again go back to CMD window and type the word "net start spooler"
    Restart your computer also turn off your printer and switch it on.
    It will work fine right now

    Duplex printing availeble in HP laserjet 2015n?


    HP 2015n is not able to print duplex (both sides). HP printers, which have duplex print have "d" after the product name/number - like HP2015dn, 2055dn.

    I have a HP laserjet 4015 and it shows a 49ff04 error.

    The LJ4015 Series printers are the latest upgrade of HP's most reliable LJ4000 series printer. . 49.xx errors are usually firmware, formatter, or sometimes print-job related.



    The first step in troubleshooting this error is to isolate the printer from any computer source - disconnect from any I/O ports, Network/USB etc... Power cycle the printer. Does the error still report? If NO then an application may be causing the error, try to isolate the file causing the problem. Clear any pending print jobs. If YES then Firmware/Formatter most are the problem. The newest firmware is version 04.046.2A released in early September.


    Critical Firmware Error.

    Causes are invalid print commands, corrupt data, invalid operations or even a bad formatter.Power cycle the printer. Press STOP to clear the print job from memory.

    Power cycle again. Try printing something from a different software program. If it works, print the job that failed before. If it still fails, repeat the power cycling again and then print something using the failing program but a different file. If it works the file that failed before is corrupt.

    If it fails no matter what you print, your printer has a hardware problem and would suggest going to HP for warranty. Try updating the firmware.

    Formatter issue. I would attempt a cold reset if that doesn't resolve it then you are going to have to replace the formatter.

    How to cold reset a P4015

    Turn the machine off (Remove the Jet Direct Card - Retains IP Address)

    1. Turn the Machine on.
    2. Press and Hold The OK button until the memory stops counting and all 3 lights are lit up.
    3. Arrow up to cold reset then hit OK to start the reset.

    If the machine still comes back to the 49 error after the reset the formatter will need to be replaced. Formatter Part Number - CB438-67901 for HP LaserJet P4015x (HP CB511A)

    Sir, the Hp LaserJet 2015n printer CANNOT automatically do duplex printing since the printer does not include mechanism and paper storage areas to cycle the paper through the printer a second time and print on the reverse side. Manual duplex printing can be done as follows: Choose duplex printing and remove all sheets after the printing is complete. Turn the sheets over while preserving the orientation and insert them in the paper feed path. I have an HP 1020 laserjet printer which is similar to the 2015.

    Power off printer, disconnect all leads such as USB, network, etc and power on again.

    Does it power on to the normal state?

    Are there any messages on the control panel or light patterns (eg off, on, flashing etc)?
