SOURCE: Paintball gun is rapid firing when trigger is

Tippmanns are known for their reliability and are very simple markers making them very easy to repair. you need oil from a local paintball shop or regular sewing machine oil will do.

On one side of the marker there is a little "handle" for cocking the gun, pull that handle as far back as you can and you will see 1 o-ring. put 2 drops of oil on it and fire it a couple times without paintballs to test it. This solves the problem 9/10 for tippmanns, if not..

Sometimes paintballs can break inside your gun. Look and feel inside your breech (where the paintballs go into the gun) and check for paint. If its dirty this can be causing your problem, strip it down and clean it (refer to your manual if you have difficulty)

SOURCE: i have a semi auto

Does this only happen when you're low on air? Also, make sure you're using a good paintball oil for lubrication and make sure the marker is clean. It's possible for an o-ring to leak, or once it gets cold to leak, so make sure you use the proper o-ring for the proper location (lots of them look alike so keep them labeled and bagged separately).

Good luck!

New Project Salvo. Second day tried to use it fires like it is on full auto for a second or two. Wont shoot as semi auto . It drains the CO2 quickly and sometimes the trigger gets stuck on full auto. ...

It's vary common for places to not fill Co2 tanks correctly and it sounds like this is your problem. Try having your tank filled in a different store, If this doesn't work you should exchange the gun at the store you bought it or call Tippmann, they have a excellent 2 year warranty.

I have a used custom 98 ACT platinum. When i fire it , it goes full auto. My speed is at 270 fps. What do i do?

Buy a oil for a few dollars made specifically for paintball. Put a few drops in the ASA(where the tank screws in) screw the tank in and try to fire it about 10 times. If the gun still goes FA or sputters, I highly recommend having it serviced by a local pro shop or Tippmann.

What would cause it to leak co2 out of the air source adaptor plug.

A busted O-Ring on the tank can cause leaks. If the leak is coming from further up on the silver hose, then you have a part failure and should contact Tippmann to order a replacement part.

If it's not a busted O-Ring, then it could be the lip of the tank- if it is bent strangely, it could allow a leak.

When i put my paintballs in the gun and i aim down they fall out the top where they shoot from

Sound like your ball detent is gone or broken.

The detent is a tiny piece of rubber that keeps the paintballs in the chamber and from rolling out the barrel. It's a cheap part, but you will need basic knowledge of disassembling a Tippmann 98 to replace it.

You can find ball detents here!

Squeeze trigger once and it fires 3x

if there is a 9 volt battery in the handle, there should be 3 to 5 small dip switchesright by the battery, your set on 3 shot burst, unhook the gas, turn all switches off, and test it, there is also a full auto setting, try different combinations untill you get single shot

I have a semi auto alpha black. When im firing on semi auto sometime the gun switches quickly to fully auto and releases lots of CO2 without really shooting any paintballs

When i put my co2 tank in my tipman 98 custom it

Not much to go on there... Here's some general guidelines for ya:

Make sure your marker is properly clean and lubed with a quality oil made for paintball use.

Make sure you have a full tank of air.

Make sure the safety pin isn't engaged.

If you can **** it and it doesn't fire and cycle when you pull the trigger you may have a stuck valve or you pin depressor isn't long enough or the valve on the tank is low.

If the basics above don't get you going, checkout your local airsmith or paintball store and see if they can't get you pointed in the right direction.

Good luck!

My silve Bullet won't turn on.

Buy either a Bel, Escort, Whistler or Valentine radar detector. The Silver Bullet has horrible performance compared to these other brands.
