Open Question

Function Key has stopped working.

The Function Key has stopped working or has become locked, on my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li2735. How can I get it started again. I need it specifically to press in conjunction with Key F1 in order to be able to open my broadband connection to the internet. My laptop is still in guarantee.

Laptop hinge wont move

I would loosen or unscrew the 8? screws that hold the display on, this will loosen it off without everything coming apart, then tilt the screen down, lift the from the bottom of the screen, pry without breaking, take that panel off and see if you can replace or find the part that came out, it maybe screws or another piece. You can probably put it back together if it fell out, then just put the screen plate back on.

Disable locks

There should be a function key to toggle the number lock off.

Some laptops it is the <SHIFT><NUMLCK> and some <FN><F1>

see if you have a numlck key or if a F (Function) key has a picture of a Lock, also make sure in the BIOS setup utility Numbers Lock on boot is not selected.

Unless you deleted it. You can go to control panel, keyboard and reprogram the key. Or if there is a special keyboard program, you can use that.

Wireless capabilities

hit the Function key (usually "Fn") then F2 should work. Also on most Fujisu's the wifi button is some where around the top left might want to try that also with or without Fn.

let me know if everything works out, also please take the time to rate me!

-Daniel.
