Hi, I have a Nokia 6111 with a broken screen, sounds pretty common fault. I have taken the 2 screws out and removed the front cover, but can't un-clip the screen, I need advice or photos of where or how to do the next step.

It is not a common problem. It seems that either the connection to the LCD is broken somewhere, or the LCD is going or the display IC has gone. It it is the last (display IC) then the phone has to be thrown away as even Nokia thinks it beyond economic repairs. Earlier two can be rectified by Nokia Care.
slide your phone check the back of your phone if there's a screw unscrew it if theres not try removed the front case of your phone by using your thumb nail slide it on side slowly until to removed after that you will see your power switch check it if it's broken if broken you need to replaced it.
At the rear of the phone there are 2 screws (where your simcard goes) The screen then clips of on the other end of the screws. The other screws are under the silver part below your keypad. It's a U shape piece that needs to be taken out with a flat screwdriver. Don't loosen any other screws but those 6. And be careful with the little cable that connects the screen to the motherboard.
I had the same problem with my girlfriends 6111. I managed to fix the phone, but i did have to open it up myself and get a new ribbon cable to replace the damanged one. Basically one of the springs had been pushed the wrong way and this was acting like a scissor action on the ribbon cable for the screen. It cuts part of the cable so no image can be seen but power is still sent, thats why it only powers up white. Doing this yourself will void the warrenty but the warrenty on this phone had expired and i was being quoted £35-£40 to get it fixed. I managed to do it for a fraction of the cost!!!
use your nokia pc suite disk that came with your phone to move everything off the 6111 and then to the 6130 via data cable or just move them all to memory card if the memory card is the same typ i.e. micro sd
