Question about JVC AV-32820 32" TV
Just bought a second hand TEAC CT-M685 TV but can't seem to tune in the AV channel. Don't have the remote or the manual. Very frustrating as I bought it specifically for the kids to watch their DVD's on! Anyone figured this one out yet as I know I am not the first to ask. This seems to be a common problem with this make but it shouldn't be as I thought it was quite a good make.

This sounds like a microprocessor controller problem?? Try to reset the tv by unplugging overnight and starting fresh in the am. If it will go in av then your all set BVut if it dosent go into the menu to see if theres any kind of lockout in the set up for the av. If not then youll have to have the set looked at by a pro. Good Luck

The square box is not a channel lock it's closed caption and labled CC in your menu.. Go into the menu and set CC off... No more box...

Go to summary of channel and then press your remote control channel down until the check mark beside your channel that is locked is yellow.Press channel down once more so that the lock becomes yellow.Press on the number 0 on your remote and the lock should disappear (mine did)

There is no specific "remote code" as such for a TV. A universal remote control will come with a set of codes for you to try, and the control manufacturer makes up these codes. If none of the listed codes work for a particular brand, the remote normally will have a code-search feature so you can hunt for the one you need. If the trouble is that you have a universal remote and no instruction sheet, you can try to find it online, or just buy a new control. They are inexpensive.
