How to repair laptop key

If your keys fell off from your keyboard, you can easily repair it by following the installation guide below.

You should have a key cap, one large and one small plastic pieces (retainer clips).

To install your key on your laptop keyboard, start out by observing your metal plates on the keyboard.

Always be sure to look at the metal keys because they differ in every keyboard. The larger metal hooks can be at the top, bottom, right or left side. The position of the metal hooks determines the position of plastic pieces.

Take the larger plastic piece, it must have two larger sticks at either sides that are going to click onto the larger metal hooks on the keyboard.

Take the small plastic piece. It must have a small bar on one side that is going to click onto the smaller single metal hook on the keyboard.

Place the smaller piece on the larger piece and insert its sticks to the holes of larger piece. Make it one piece.

Put the plastic piece into the metal holes on the keyboard. Push it evenly to insert completely. Get a thin object or blade and stretch the plastic pieces so that it clicks together.

Take your letter key, put it in the middle and push down evenly from all four sides.

That's all.

How to turn off the mouse when travelling or when not in use without taking of the batteries?

Unless that mouse has a switch to turn it off...no luck, but an alternative is to take a piece of note paper or thin plastic and open your mouse to the batteries and push a little piece of the paper or thin plastic in between either of the batteries and its end metal contact and there you have it! To get it up an running just pull out the paper or plastic!

My power lift gat stoped working it sound like it is trying to open but the gate won't lift or come down once i open it manually

Not to be insulting, but have you released the safety latch? The lift is usually gravity drop, so it won't take much min regards to the safety latch to keep it from lowering. If is is a power down, and you feel pressure , The the latch ia the only variable involved. Good luck and be safe. Do not release anything you suspect while inspecting without attention to safety. hands and foot. Good luck Ned

Cannot load staples

At the back of the staple gun is a flat shaped metal piece. It's at the bottom. Push in, pull down, then pull the mechanism out. You'll see it's a metal rod with a spring, that is attached to that flat metal piece. The spring pushes against another flat metal piece, that has a hole in it, and travels back, and forth on the rod.

The flat metal piece that the spring pushes down the rod, pushes against the staples.

Remove this spring mechanism, slide the staples down the rails. The staples will be in the position of an upside down U. Replace the spring mechanism, and lock it back into place. (Push in, pull up)

Should, your question be in reference to the fact that you have staples loaded, but upon pressing the trigger nothing comes out:

In the front of the staple gun, is a flat metal piece that pushes down on the staples. One staple at a time. The flat metal piece is shoved down by spring pressure. The spring pressure is applied to the flat metal piece each time you squeeze the trigger. (Flat metal piece = Hammer)

Sometimes, Two staples try to come out. When they do, this flat metal hammer is stuck up in the gun. To free the flat metal hammer, remove the spring mechanism out of the back of the staple gun. (The spring mechanism discussed above) Remove any staples in the gun.
Try to use a flat blade screwdriver, and see if you can shove the flat metal hammer in the front of the gun -> UP.
(DO NOT have the staple gun pointing at your face! DO NOT squeeze the trigger! DO NOT use excessive force)

If this method is of no avail for you, you have to disassemble the gun, and remove the metal hammer, and stuck staple/s.

Toyota Avalon Rear View Mirror

Hi-,
I had the same problem - the inside rear view mirror fell off during a hot summer day. I bought the mirror glue (adhesive) and wondered how to I separate the metal button from the mirror. Enventally, I tried the following and successully separated the metal button from the mirror: There is a little squre slot on the plastic sheath of the metal button. Please find a small flat-ned screw driver whose tip can fit into the sqare hole. put the screw driver into the hole and put it all the way inside down - which will open a little bended metal piece that stops the buttom; at the mean time, slide the metal button towards outside. As the bended metal piece opened uder the pressure of the screw driver, the metal button is freely moveable and can be slide out.
I did this successfully for my Toyota Avalon 1998 car.

Hope it helps.

Nail Guns Safety problem

Professional-grade varieties are automatic, and fire a nail directly upon pulling the trigger. A semi-automatic nail gun is more appropriate for beginners, since it requires a two step process: pull the trigger and then tap the barrel against the wood. This safety feature protects the user from accidentally firing a nail gun and injuring himself or others.

Drier noise

Lifting the top should be pretty simple. There is an obvious lip that runs all the way around the dryer where the top hinges down and fits on the other body panels. Look between the lid & the front panel on the front of the dryer. A few inches from either front corner there is a metal clip that interlocks with the front panel (If the lip is squeezed together to tightly to see between, just get a putty knife or another thin-yet-sturdy object & work it between the two pieces until you barely see between them.). Once you locate the two clips, get two thin knives or putty tools & push inward from the front on both of the clips. When you have the clips fully disengaged you should be able to lift the lid by prying upwards very gently. Sometimes it takes a little wiggling to get them disengaged, so do not forcefully pry as this can bend the pieces, causing a poor fit or cosmetic damage.
It will be much easier to locate the noise if you take the front panel off as well. From the top your view is obstructed almost completely by the tub. There are normally only 2 or 4 screws near the top on the inside connecting the front panel. Just remove those screws & lift up on the front. Everything should be much easier to inspect. While you are in there, vacuum all the lint out (there's usually lots). Doing so will help airflow & lower the chances of an accidental fire.
I hope this helps you out. I have a similar model & it did not take me very long to figure it out. Hopefully you'll have the same luck!
