SOURCE: Install a timer to control pool operation

Another option would be to get an electronic timer like the Intermatic P1353 that has 3 circuits on it that you could program to cut on and off at different times. For example, you could have one circuit that controls the pump and turns the pump on, then the second circuit would turn on the booster pump at a set time after the filter pump had come on and then the heater could be set to also run at a preset time after the pump circuit was activated. Since the pump, booster and heater are all 220, it's a straight forward hookup with everything in one timer box.

The lights, as stated before, would be on a separate circuit (110) and have its own timer or photosensitive eye set in line.

SOURCE: intermatic timer for my pool pump - clock is not running

Usually the timer motor is bad when that happens. Replacement timer motors are available from websites like this one:
http://www.aplussupply.com/intermatic/timermotors.htm

Be sure to get the right voltage timer motor. Intermatic T101's and T103's use a 120 volt timer motor (Cat# WG1570) and the T104 uses a 240 volt timer motor (Cat# WG1573).

If you don't want to mess around replacing the timer motor, you can purchase a new timer, and as long as the existing enclosure is in good shape, just swap out the guts.

I need a shop manual

Shop Manual...???
Like a generic repair manual, with instructional step-by-step repair instructions for all types of swimming pool pumps and motors? That's usually what a shop manual refers to...? Or are you looking for a specific owners manual for a specific pump?
if so, then we need a make and model of your swimming pool pump.

Hi, last month we bought an intex round pool (18' x 54") with sand pump and salt sanitizer. Within the last 2 days the water started turning green. It turns out my husband accidently set the pump...

You don't want to swim in water that has algae... 1st ...Make sure you have the correct amount of salt. See you manual for amount needed. Must set you pump timer first and sync your chlorinator between that time, if pump turns off before chlorinator cycle ends, you will get an "Low flow" alarm. Set you pump timer to run 12 hours and the chlorinator for 10 to 11 of those hours and should see results within 3 days or so. After that, If you live in an area that is hot, 10 hours pump and 8 to 9 chlorinator... Hope this helps...

I need to know how to set this timer for a large swimming pool, and how long I need it to run, to keep it clean. I believe it is about 35,000 gals., in-ground pool.

You have Intermatic mechanical timer connected to swimming pool pump/filter.
Open following link to read about setting timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/How-to-operate-and-set-T104-timer.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html
Lift and rotate dial until current time is lined up with stationary pointer.
Put on-off trippers on outer edge of dial.
Timer comes with 2 sets of trippers, and you can order replaceable trippers. Up to 12 sets of trippers can be added to dial for a total of 12 ON and 12 OFF events each 24-hour period.
For 35000 gallon, pump should run at least 6 hours each 24-hour period. During freezing weather, if pipes are above ground, you can remove trippers from dial, set override lever to ON position, and run pump 24-hours to prevent frozen pipes.

How to set Intermatic T104P3 - Pool-Spa Mechanical Time Switch... I believe this is the correct model. There are no instructions or data left on the gray metal box to verify what it is.. I got the model...

The T-104 is a 240Volt timer that will not work for 120V circuits
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html

The above link gives you information about the T104 T103 T101 in case you need to buy another timer
The difference is the voltages on the lines and voltage of the clock

1) How to sort out what you have:
-Which circuit breaker operates the timer and pump? If your circuit breaker is 240, then the pump is 240 and the timer is 240 so you most likely have the T-104
-To double-check: turn off the power and look at the name plate on the pump >>> the name plate will show voltage of the pump
-If breaker is 120, then you have T-101 that has three terminal screws inside the timer, or you have T-103 with 5 terminal screws inside the timer.

OK that's the basic information:
You say your trippers don't work.
Does the manual override work?

2) If the manual override does NOT work when you click it back and forth, and the unit has electricity, then the timer is probably bad. You can buy a new timer, and swap out the insides with old timer without replacing box.

3) If the manual override DOES work, then best news of all ... you may need new tripper pins
