SOURCE: HP problem with touchscreen

When you first begin using the PC, or if you have intermittent problems using the touch screen, you should calibrate the touch screen and set up the screen preferences.

NOTE: The touch screen works best if only the stylus, and not your hand, is touching the screen. If you rest the palm of your hand on the screen for comfort, you will have to press the pen more firmly onto the screen.

SOURCE: touchscreen calibration in ubuntu

The touch screen on these models do not have a calibration setting. They work or they don't. If it not working properly you can try uninstalling the drivers for the touch screen, then reboot. The machine will find the touch screen and reinstall the drivers automatically. Also check for any updated drivers at Panasonic's support site. Then check the connection for the touch screen, the touch screen has a separate connection than the screen, and it may have worked loose or have a little dirt or corrosion built up. If this doesn't work, then I'm afraid that the touch screen may be wearing out, nothing you can do for this.

SOURCE: unresponsive touchscreen hp pavilion tx 1000

If the touchscreen is listed in the hardware manager, then I sugest uninstalling and reinstalling the driver by looking for hardware changes and let windows do it from its database.
Either that, or installing it anew from the drivers cd.
If not, it might be disabled in the BIOS.

SOURCE: hp tx1000 touchscreen stopped working

I got it! (For Vista)
Step 1: Right click "My Computer" and select "Properties"
Step 2: On the left menu there is an option for "Device Manager"
Step 3: At the bottom of the page, there is a section named "Universal Serial Bus Controller", expand it.
Step 4: You will see a device listed as "hx2lp kit" or similar. Right click and select "Uninstall"
Step 5: It will prompt you to delete the driver files. Click "Yes" (I think this was a check box)
Step 6: Watch as Windows finds all your devices that had been missing! (touch screen, fingerprint scanner, and web cam)

My laptop touchscreen drivers are missing, I went to device manager and saw them hidden so i uninstall it and restore my laptop but still the drivers is missing.

The drivers for the touchscreen are integral to the Windows Operating System. If there is a problem with the touchscreen, then it will not be detected and greyed out in the device manager. Ensure that the touchscreen was not disabled in Device Manager. If it is enabled there and it still is not working, then most likely the touchscreen has failed.

Garmin 2595 Touchscreen does not work properly, it's shutting down by itself. I made calibrate, reset, and touchscreen diagnose, nothing helps

If you have tried to recalibrate it and it still is unresponsive, then the touchscreen needs to be replaced. More info on touchscreen replacement can be found here:

My touchscreen is not working after i instal windows 7

Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue is due to the Driver for the Touchscreen sensors.
As you have changed the Operating System, it is required to install the Touchscreen Device Driver for the Windows 7 Operating System.
Once the Driver is installed, the Touchscreen Device should work normally.
Please let me know the exact Model # of the Computer, so that I can provide you the link to download the Touchscreen Driver.
Hope this helps.
Please feel free to contact for further information and assistance.
