Check to see if lint filter is clean.  Also look through the holes inside at the back of the drum to see if there is lint clogging them.  Use a strong shop vac to clean them out if necessary.  The gas flame will normally go on and off during the cycle under the control of the thermostat so that does not sound like the problem unless it fails to come on again when the temperature cools down.  Check to see if air is coming out of the vent outside.  If not, then the blower wheel may be broken.  You will probably have to remove the motor to replace the blower wheel.  I have done it twice on my 34 year old dryer.

i am not a dryer expert,so i can only make these suggestions.
1.make sure the lint filter is very clean.
2.make sure the dryer is sitting level on the floor.(if it isn't sitting straight on the floor, the clothes may not be touching the sensors, causing the heat to turn on & off while drying.
3 do not overload the dryer with wet clothes.
4.pick the right heat setting for the amount & type of clothes.

Ge gas dryer heats but doesnt dry

if the flame is lighting you have lint blocking the air flow either in the dryer or in the vent line, also if you have a flame for the first 10 to 20 minutes and then the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils located on top of the gas valve, when the coils are bad they can work for the first 10 to 20 minutes until the coils get hot and then they fail and you'll see the ignitor glowing orange but no flame, bad gas coils.then when the coils cool down they can work again.hope this helps.you can try removing the vent line from the back of the dryer and see if the flame stays on,if lint is blocking the air from blowing out the flame won't stay lit long enough to dry the clothes.

Kenmore 110.66902690 electric dryer does not dry completely

Dear Barry,
Try 2 things.
One, be certain the clothes are very dry coming out of the washing machine.
If the washer leaves the clothes wet ( like the belt might be slipping), it can take the dryer forever to finish drying the clothes.
You can tell by hand-wringing them.
You should not be able to get any water out of them by hand-wringing after they have spun dry in the washer.
Two, try running a load with the vent hose unhooked off the back of the dryer.
If this fixes the problem, you are having a "clogged vent" issue somehow.
Be blessed.

Whirlpool duet gas dryer

The question is are your clothes getting dry? The flame does not stay on constantly, but cycles on and off. Now if the clothes aren't drying properly, then the first thing to check is if you have good air flow coming out of the back of the machine and air flow completely outside where the vent exhaust to. If that is good then most likely your flame sensor has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

Your Sensor that senses the clothes are wet or dry is shorted out. The dryer works likes this so the dryer heaters dont stay on while the clothes are dry. When the sensor senses the clothes are damp or wet, the heater stays on, when they start drying the sensor senses it and starts to turn down the heaters

Dryer flame comes on at beginning of cycle, but goes out before the cycle is completed

Based on your issue description, Gas and electric dryers have heat sources that are controlled by a cycling thermostat. This thermostat will cycle the heat on and off numerous times throughout the drying cycle. It should never keep the heat on constantly as this would cause clothes shrinkage and a chance fot a lint fire. If the dryer is drying clothes normally then you have no problem.
