Question about Cyberhome DVD Recorder - DVR1600
Lightning struck our area - the lights blinked. Soon after, I realized the CyberHome DVR 1600 DVD Recorder did not work. Can it be saved? More important - how can I save and use the 75 incomplete
DVDs that have been recorded but not finalized?
I have had this problem time and tim again with the cyberhome dvr 1600 dvd recorder its not the fuse thats the problem the converter on the power board is blown i have 7 of these with exactly thesame problem to fix it all you need is a new power board if you unscrew it and take the top off then the power bord is to your right hand side big long board where the mains plug in all you do is once you got a new power board unscrew the old one and screw the new one in and plug the cables back in boo it works and by the way i had 7 of these plugged in when lighteing struck and its the same problem with them all

Firstrly remove the cover off your DVD recorder and replace the blown mains fuse, there is a big chance that the damage is limited to the fuse, if it reblows then the supply is fried, if the fuse fixes the issue, your discs are saved, otherwise, you can try one on the computer and try and finalise it there, if it doesn't work and it damages the disc, you would have only lost one, if it works..your home free...hope that helps Phil
