I have the same problem and my dishwasher has not really cleaned the entire time I've owned it. If you ask me, it's a lemon. My advise would be to buy a better brand of dishwasher. I use Finish which worked very well in my maytag dishwasher.

dishwashers have a rinse aid
dispenser. If your dishwasher has this dispenser, fill it up
periodically and it will release the appropriate amount of rinse aid
automatically at the right time during the wash cycle. This will help
your dishes rinse more cleanly.
Rinse aid in solid form
Some older dishwashers or basic models do not have an
automatic rinse aid dispenser. In this case, you can buy rinse aid in
solid form that attaches to your dishwasher rack. Solid rinse aid can be
hard to find in stores because it is not commonly used, but it can be
Vinegar or lemon juice
Appliance repairmen will tell you that one of the common
problems they see with dishwashers is the buildup of excess detergent.
If there is too much detergent in your dishwasher, your dishes will not
rinse cleanly, no matter how good the dishwasher is or how much rinse
aid you use. To clean the excess detergent that has built up inside your
dishwasher, put 3 tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice (concentrate is
fine) in the empty dishwasher and run the dishwasher through a complete
cycle with no dishes. Do this twice, for two complete cycles of the
empty dishwasher with only vinegar or lemon juice added. The acid in the
vinegar or lemon juice will break up the detergent that has built up in
your dishwasher's interior.
After you have cleaned the detergent
buildup from the inside of your dishwasher, follow the steps below to
keep the buildup from happening again and to help your dishes rinse
cleanly and prevent residue from accumulating on the dishes.
Gel dishwasher detergent
Switch to a liquid or gel dishwasher detergent. Any brand will do.
Fill one compartment half full
Dishwashers will effectively clean dishes with much less
detergent than manufacturers often recommend. The bleach in the
detergent, combined with the extremely hot water used in the dishwasher
wash cycle, will clean and sanitize your dishes completely, even in
small amounts, and using less detergent helps prevent buildup and
residue from accumulating on your clean dishes.
Fill only one
detergent compartment(the one that snaps closed) half full with gel
detergent. Snap the opening closed and run your dishwasher as you
normally would. Your dishes will come out sparkling clean with no
buildup or residue, plus you'll save money by using less detergent!
You could only check the basics. Since the dishes are clean, it means they went through the wash cycle. It also means that that the holes on the washer arm are not blocked. If they were salty and dirty the wash arms would be something to check. And since they came out feeling like salt is on them its possible they didn't rinse and its also possible the dirty water didn't drain. Were your drain and fill hoses checked or did the techs just check the dish washing machine itself? Its also possible the water for rinse is not hot enough. Before the rinse cycle comes around try running the hot water at your kitchen faucet. Any other issues may be within the cycling of the machine.
if no rinse agent is present it doesnt matter how hot the water gets they will still not dry check unit make sure it is full. rinse agent is only to aid the drying process the machine will wash happily without it but not dry.
It is possible your dishwasher is dirty. I have found this wonderful product called "Dishwasher Magic" It cleans rust, midew and scaling from deep inside your washer leaving it like new. Try it it's a wonderful product
Make certain you do not use dish soap when rinsing the dishes. Make sure you only use DISHWASHER soap when running the DW. In fact, there is no need to rinse dishes. Remove visible scraps and put them in the DW. If it is a quality DW it will clean your dishes. Do not crowd the dishes in the DW. Most JennAir DW's are quality. Make sure the top rack can get washing action from the bottom spray arm. No pots or other water stopping utensils on the bottom rack.
Recommend that you run another cycle with no DW soap aded, waiting until the dishwasher has filled with hot water and begins to do the first wash cycle. Then add 1/2 cup of bleach to the water and close the door. Allow the cycle to finish. Run it normally with a standard load of dirty dishes. Note: These high efficiency dishwashers count on the "dirt" of the dirty dishes to help wash/clean the dishes. Recommend you not rinse/wash the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher.
Watch for any occurrence of the black dots and repeat the bleach treatment.
get some dishwasher salts and unscrew the cap at the bottom of the dishwasher empty the filters and run the cycle. fill up the water with dishwasher salts in the white unscrewable cap put about two cup fulls in.there it should work better then. there is also a product called rinse add you can by this from the local supermarket. hope this helps
