Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Hi I have an HP PS 1507 printer which has just experienced a paper jam. I managed to pull out most of it via the front opening. But I believe there is still some residual paper trapped inside. The printer is old and not used often and I have lost the handbook so am at a loss to get into the back to try to clar anything else inside. Can you please help me? Regards Don Harrod.

Try to clean the paper feed rollers. Make sure that there's nothing even a very small piece of paper on the paper feed rollers. If same problem occurs, I believe hat you may try power cycling the printer.

Here's how to power cycle it:

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. Unplug the power cable from the power outlet.
    3. Leave the power cable unplugged for about 5-10 minutes.
    4. Turn the printer back on.

IF you will get the same problem, it would be best to contact the printer manufacturer for second opinion.

Paper jam

How to Clear a Paper Jam on an HP Inkjet Printer?????
Paper jams are among the most common problem with HP inkjet printers. Follow these instructions to learn how to clear a paper jam so you can get back to work.

Instructions Things You'll Need
  • HP inkjet printer
    • 1 Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer before you begin. With the power disconnected, you will protect yourself from being shocked. This is an important step when you are fixing any type of electronic device.
    • 2 Move your printer so that you'll have access the back panel. Unhinge the back access panel of the printer.
    • 3 Look for paper through the opened back panel. Remove any paper you find jammed.
    • 4 Close the back access panel. Make sure that it latches into place and looks the same way it did before you opened it.
    • 5 Open the front or top access panel. This is the panel you use to access ink cartridges. If the carriage that holds the ink cartridges moves, then you forgot to unplug the printer. Go back and do that now. Look for paper that may be jammed in this area of the printer.
    • 6 Remove any paper you find jammed here. There will be resistance from the paper feeder, so pull slowly or the paper will rip and create a more serious problem.
    • 7 Close the front access panel. Make sure that it latches back into place.
    • 8 Plug the printer in and attempt to print again. If you can print successfully, you have removed the paper jam.

Hope this will helpful to you...................
Good Luck.............

Screen says carriage jam. can't find

Hi there

Follow these steps and your problem will be solved

* Turn off the printer by pressing the Power button

* If the optional HP Internal Battery is not installed in the printer, unplug the printer power cord. Wait about 10 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

* If the optional HP Internal Battery is installed in the printer, unplug the printer power cord, if it is plugged in. Open the battery compartment cover and remove the battery. Wait about 10 seconds, then reinstall the battery. If desired, plug in the power cord.

Turn on the printer. The printer checks for paper in the paper path and will automatically eject the jammed paper. Press OK to continue.

If the paper came part way through the front of the printer, gently pull the paper towards you to remove it.

If the paper did not come part way through the front of the printer, try removing it from the back of the printer like this

1 Remove the paper from the In tray, then push in the catches to release the in tray.

2 Open the In tray to a horizontal position.

3 Gently pull the jammed paper to remove it from the back of the printer.

4. Before you lift the In tray to close it, make sure it is pushed all the way to the right on its hinges.

5. Lift the In tray up until it snaps back into paper-loading position

Open and close the pen door on the front of the printer to make sure it is securely latched.

Good luck

How do you clear paper jan ml2250

The tips for removing paper jam are basically universal for all laser printers so here is what I would do.

1) Open front cover remover toner cartridge, check for & remove paper. Reinsert toner and close front cover back up upon completion.

2) Pull paper tray / paper out and check for paper stuck in input paper area

3) On top backside of printer you should find a door that opens up to allow access to backside. Open this up and pull any paper out from within there.

There should not be any need to unscrew any screws and I would not recommend doing so to remove paper.

You should always be able to remove paper jam via openable doors.

I believe these steps should relieve the problem, if not please let me know & I will be glad to assist further.
