Generally this problem is caused by the evaporator fan not running, check the evaporator fan motor for blockage and or failure.

Condenser fan problem on Kitchenaide Refrigerator - kscs23inss01

What you are going to find is this... Your COILS under the Plastic are Condensating and FREEZING and then this is what is causing the On /Off of the Temp. You have to DEFROST the COILS (Under the Plastic) and remove ALL the ice and Moisture. Once you get this problem resolved, it will work perfectly. This problem was caused by the Condenser Coils being Dirty and and the Switch on Top, Under the Plastic from being unable to work properly. This is a time consuming issue but easy to do. DO NOT SCRAP or BREAK the ICE after you take the Plastic off, use a hair dryer or Hot Water and make sure the Drain Tube is completely cleaned...

Hi woke up this morning and the divider between the freezer and refridge compartments was very hot. Kitchenaid model ksbp25fkss. opened back panel, and compressor was also very hot. also seemed to be...

if it is making a lot of noise then your compressor is going out, if it is full of dirt dust or debree vacume it, or if you have a air compressor, then blow it out, but unplug your fridge to let the compressor cool down, if it is cold outside and you can wheel it there with no problem then you can clean it . you might have a freon leak or a stuck valve let it get cooled off and try again

Divider between two compartments is hot model 106.59599990 side by side refrigerator

It is supposed to be hot. Approximately 110 degrees.
It prevents condensation between the doors.
The hot gas refrigerant line is routed through the conduit in between the doors.
It is OK.

The divider between the two compartments of our model106.51564103 is very hot.

This is caused by the condenser running hot due to being dirty or a fan failure, see the link below for instructions and details I put together for this issue. Let me know if it was helpful.

Kitchenaid Refrigerator door gaskets are getting very warm.

When the center divider gets hot, it usually means that your condenser fan (the one that blows air across the coils under the fridge) is not working, or that the condenser coils are extremely dirty. Next time the fridge is running, see if there is any air blowing underneath. You probably need a new condenser fan.
