Question about Canon FAXPHONE L170 Plain Paper Laser
Every time I wish to send a fax, the machine will request me to confirm the fax number again after I press the "start" button, although I've key in the fax number - that makes me need to key the same number twice. How can I remove this "confirmation" setting?
Its something that can't be changed... its to prevent faxing private and protected medical info or legal info to wrong #...

Tx (confirmation) Report needs to be enabled before sending the fax. Super G3 is an industry standard, not a model number. What model of Canon facsimile do you have? I have most User Guides downloaded...so I should be able to provide directions on enabling Tx Report. Let me know.

Groups allow you to send the same fax message to multiple numbers (broadcasting). You can store the Groups on your One-Touch keys or SpeedDial locations and then broadcast by pressing a One-Touch key and Fax Start or by pressing Search/Speed Dial, the three digit location and FaxStart. First, you will need to store each fax number you wish to includein your Group as either a One-Touch or Speed Dial number. Then, you can combine these numbers into a group. Finally, you can have up to six Groups, or you can assign up to 131 numbers to one large Group. Each Group uses one One-Touch key or Speed Dial location. To set up a Group, please follow these steps:
1. Press Menu, 2 (Fax), 3 (Set Auto Dial), 3 (Setup Groups).
2. Press the One-Touch key on which you wish to store the Group or pressSearch/Speed Dial followed by the three-digit Speed Dial location where you wish to store the Group. The LCD will read SETUP GROUP:G0 ENTER & SET.
