SOURCE: sony cdex-m630 connections with an amp

You can use either set of RCA outputs for the amplifier that you want to. Only difference in either of them is front, rear and sub outputs. If you are only powering a sub amp, then use the sub outputs, otherwise, the other two will work fine. You can still use the outputs from the radio itself to power four other speakers while using the RCA outputs.

SOURCE: Need replacement speaker cables for dav-hdx576wf

Since noone else gave you a good answer I will. I lost some cables to mine a while ago and found this awesome jerry rig solution; Go to radio shack, and ask for '14-16 gauge star ring terminal connectors' Should come in a pack of 10 and be about 2$. On the back of the unit where these connectors fit, there should be two prongs. You will need two star-rings for each connector slot. Wire up your connectors and crimp the ends LIGHTLY with a pair of pliers. The star-ring connector connected to the negative wire should be inserted to the left prong, (left if you are facing the back of the unit), and the right prong is the positive. If you did everything correctly, you should be able to make your own wires for sony stereo systems whenever you need to. Saved my ***, hope it did the same for you. Here is a link to what they look like. http://www.shopping.com/radio-shack-non-insulated-crimp-on-star-ring-terminals-10-pack/info

My speaker in my computer is not working...

There is a speaker cable.
It must be connected like the picture below (for this motherboard)
Note that your motherboard is probably different, so you need a map of your own motherboard.
Wrong motherboard & Cannot find map ?
Email me a picture of your motherboard. I will than highlight the area, where to connect the speaker-cable. Send the email to djskywalker@live.nl

The problem may be of many reasons. Some of them are : - Bad cable - Speaker not working properly - speaker not connected properly - Driver problem
Check that you have properly connected your speakers to your computer and also check for any cuts or bruises in the cable. Connect your speakers to any other device such as your phone or pmp to check whether the speaker is working. You must also update your sound drivers to the latest version. If the problem still persists you may have to get your motherboard repaired.

Hi i have hp d530 cmt DC755AV motherboard. i am facing problem with the audio. i want to know that is it necessary to connect the "speaker" leads of the casing with the motherboard for speakers to work....

While many HP boards have audio built in, on some the connections are on the motherboard itself. I own one myself & found it much easier to buy a $7.00 sound card from eBay, that included shipping to my front door.

Having problems with the installation of the brutus 2008d amp in my truck. how many channels is it? how do i connect the subs? do i connect the rca cables from the radio to the input or output.

The rca cables from your stereo go to the "input" part of the amp. Now, if there are four speaker connections in your amp, then it's a 2 channel. If you have eight speaker connections then you have a four channel amp. Note, some amps can be briged to provide more power to the speakers. On a two way amp(2 speakers), the connections can be briged to only one speker providing more power, usually whatever the amp power rating is, say a 500watt amp will put all 500 watts to that speaker. The same goes for a four way amp(4speakers), can be bridged to two speakers(250watts per speaker). Hope this helps.

Right speaker stops working

A couple of years later, but maybe this will be useful to someone:
1. Disconnect the cables (input, power, 2nd speaker).
2. Undo the two screws on the base of the casing.
3. The two knobs can be pulled off. Underneath there are two nuts that hold the spindles to the casing. Undo these.
4. The fabric cover is a push fit. Prise it off the front. If needed, use a (non-metal) tool that won't damage the plastic casing.
5. Under the cover, the two top holes contain screws - undo these.
6. Four screws hold the actual speaker to the casing. The two lower ones are slightly longer and also hold the casing together. Note this for reassembly.
7. You can now gently part the front and rear parts of the speaker housing.
8. To completely separate the parts, you need to disconnect the red and black wires that go the the speaker. The are push fit 'spade' type connectors - a tight fit, but removable.

My problem is similar - loss of left channel. I think the problem is in the headphone socket as wobbling it or inserting non-conducting objects can temporarily restore the channel. These sockets switch off the speaker when you plug in the jack, so I think the switch is faulty. I plan to desolder this part to inspect, repair, replace or bridge the connection and do without the socket.

Hope that helps.
