Did you choose the right input source? Please see which input in the TV did you choose to connect the DVD. Now select the source accordingly. If both TV and DVD are in working condition, you must get the display.

My Sony KP-53V85 I have a really light "redish burn-in" image that looks like widescreen format. Perhaps a 16:9 DVD that burn-in at one point in his life. I want to bring this TV set back to its glory days...

sanyo still make the parts but you need the old numbers to find them from sanyo. they should be the same as sony made as at the time they used the same parts just changed the part numbers over, sanyo use them in billboard displays so you would need the right size.

Check the vertical scan output section circuit for any loose solder terminals. Re-solder all the suspected solder terminals by applying a little more solder. If you wish to get some details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Timeslide / Flipcard, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name / model number / IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

I have a Sanyo TV Model # DP26640. I have a Magnavox DVD Player model # DV2100. i am unable to play discs I make on my computer on the TV HELP!

If you can play original CDs then the problem is in neither the TV nor the DVD player , but in your DVD authoring software or your skills to use it (no offense meant).

Overall I seriously doubt the TV make and model is relevant here.

Depending on what exactly are you burning and how are you burning it the DVD player may be important as it may have certain limitations, e.g. codec formats supported or media types supported (e.g. DVD-R vs DVD+R etc.)

Screen displays low illumination.dvd drive not functioning.tv ok, av in ok.

Screen Display Issues:

Go to the BIOS. Once you power on the laptop immediately hold down the F2 key then BIOS will show up. Try to check in BIOS if the display has low illumination if yes then try connecting your laptop to an external monitor then toggle the display to the external monitor. If the display from the external monitor is fine then it means the LCD has issues and needs replacement. But before going into any LCD replacement try to update the BIOS version first.

DVD Issues:
Check first the DVD icon in My Computer window. If missing then kindly do this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318

Delete the upper and lower filters.
Uninstall the DVD device driver from device manager.
Restart the computer.
Check BIOS if ODD or DVD is present. If yes then F12 boot to DVD if failed replace DVD drive.
If the DVD not present in BIOS replace DVD.

Sanyo TV

Hi,

If I understand your posting/description right, you have:
1, a Sanyo TV with only 1 video input;
2. you have a DVD player with only video output; and
3. you have a VCR (which I will assume to be with both video input and output).

Your query, if I may clarify, is how to hook them up so that you need not connect/disconnect any video cable when you want to switch video source from either DVD or VCR.

If that is what you want, then connect:
a. audio/video OUT of your DVD to audio/video IN of the VCR;
b. audio/video OUT of your VCR to audio/video IN of the TV.

The above described connection would allow you to:
i. watch DVD movies on your TV (your VCR must be powered ON and set to Video INput, your TV must be powered ON & set to Video INput);
ii. watch tape movies from your VCR without disconnecting/connecting cables.

Additionally, this arrangement would allow you to record DVD movies in your VCR. Further, connecting your cable/aerial to the RF INput of your VCR would allow you to do the same with a TV/Cable program.

Incidentally, if one of your units (TV, VCR, DVD) would only have a single audio input, it is still possible since some models uses the white audio RCA connector as either left or mono, the red is right. You can also use a 2 female RCA to 1 RCA male adapter as shown below to joint the red/white audio.

Hope this be of some idea/help. Pls post back how things turned out or should you require additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

What kind of dvd's can be used in this dvd player?

That will write on -R or -RW ONLY ... for +R or +RW disks, it can read but not write. You can see this on the recordable media section on this page: http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Sanyo-Sanyo-DVD-DRW1000-Recorder-Hi-Fi-VCR-Combo
