Question about Proscan 10.1-Inch Internet Tablet, Capacitive Touch Screen, Android 4.0 with Front Camera, 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM"
You can charge your tablet through the USB port on your desktop computer. Just plug it in with the USB cable that came with your unit. It's slower charging but who cares?
Those pins are delicate. Be careful when inserting and removing.
The USB is designed to power on first and then the data is transferred.
Forget about taking it to a repair shop. The charges will be more than the tablet is worth and it's not likely they will have the part.

You may have to take your tablet to a repair shop to have the remains removed and allow a replacement charger to connect.
