Question about Computers & Internet
Dear sirs my ASUS A8N-E motherboard's all PCI slots are not functioned, not work, dead. please help me how to fix this problem. tahnk you. best regards than swe firstname.lastname@example.org
Often what has been known to happen in these cases is ESD which damages the PCI ports on the computer. In some cases, the ESD will only damage those places where it was introduced, but many times, the ESD will circulate throughout the inside of the computer, damaging some things and leaving other things alone.
ESD is Electro Static Discharge. You know, when you rub your feet on a carpet and then touch a doorknob? Same thing. The significant difference is, however, that the amount of spark needed to damage your computer needs to be multiplied by 30 before it is strong enough for you to feel it on your fingertip.
Odds are, your motherboard will only be fixed by replacing it.
Good luck. Wish I had better news.
