Lost password of working wi-fi conneciton

My wi-fi connection is working just fine on my desktop mac-mini and ATT iphone 4. Guests in my home cannot use my wi-fi because, apparently, when I typed the password, I messed up a character. Now I have purchased an iphone 5s, switched to a Verizon phone service, (bc my ATT connection is so bad I have to go outside to talk!) and tomorrow am switching from ATT to Charter bc it is half the monthly charge. So...I guess my question is...how do I retrieve my wi-fi password?

SOURCE: i can not remember my wi-fi password. i need it to

If you have tried the default passwords (blank, admin or sysAdmin) and they don't work, you will need to reset it back to factory settings. You can do this by finding a hole at the back of the unit and pressing the hidden switch there for a few seconds. After that it should be back to its original configuration. You will obviously have lost any changes you made to it since you took it out of the box.

What Type/Brand of router ?????

Apple's iPhone is a multimedia connectivity tool.
As such, the iPhone employs a sophisticated system to keep you connected to the web via WiFi signals so that you can stay up to date with email, mapping and media.
To use the iPhone's WiFi feature just follow these steps.
Tap a network.
If you have not yet used your iPhone's WiFi or if you're in a new WiFi area, the iPhone will show you a list of available networks.
Tap the network that you want to connect to in order to connect.
If there is a password required a little lock icon appears.
Enter the password to connect to locked networks and continue to surf the web.
Monitor your signal.
As you use your iPhone, especially if you're moving around, you should take a look at the signal strength of the connection.
The strength is indicated by a small, black broadcast symbol that stacks arches, or rounded bars, on top of one another.
The more bars there are the better the signal.

Make connecting to WiFi automatic or manual.
The iPhone is equipped to automatically search for available networks and connect you to one.
If you do not want the phone to search for networks, select the "WiFi" option on the phone's menu.
Then select either the on or off option of the "Ask To Join Networks."
Turning this option off requires that you find networks manually.

Forget a network.
Once you connect to a WiFi network once the iPhone automatically remembers the network and connects you to it at a later opportunity.
To forget a network so you don't get automatically connected choose the "WiFi" option on the menu.
Then tap the right arrow button next to one of the networks that the iPhone already remembers. Then tap "Forget This Network" to erase the phone's memory of the network.

Troubleshoot Wi-Fi Connection Problems on an iPhone
If you experience Wi-Fi connectivity issues on your iPhone, you may need to reset the Wi-Fi connection.
Your connectivity issues could be caused by the wrong password if you are having trouble logging into the Wi-Fi network or from a problem in your iPhone's settings.
By resetting the Wi-Fi connection, you are clearing out the previous settings created when you first connected to the network.

Tap the Settings icon on the iPhone's home screen, and tap the Wi-Fi tab.
Swipe the switch on the Wi-Fi tab to ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your iPhone.
Tap the blue arrow button on the network tab you are connected to in the network list, and tap "Forget this Network."
Tap the "Forget Network" button that appears on the pop-up menu to confirm the action.

Tap the Wi-Fi Networks tab in the upper-left corner to return to the previous screen, and tap the network's tab in the network list to re-join it.
Press the Home button on the iPhone, and tap the Safari icon on the home screen to test the Wi-Fi connection.
Tap the blue arrow icon on the network's tab if the connectivity problem persists, and tap the "Renew Lease" button at the bottom of the network's window.
Tap the "Renew Lease" button on the pop-up box to confirm the action.
Tap the Home button on the iPhone, and tap the Safari icon on the home screen to test the network connection.

I can not connect my i phone

Hi,

From your problem description it looks like you want to connect your iPhone to your wireless home network?

Whenever you use a internet enabled application your iPhone will connect to the most recent used Wi-Fi network(access point/router).

If the last used network is not available, then your iPhone will list all available networks in range.

If you are in range of your wireless router, then it will be listed in the available networks box.
To see all the Wi-Fi networks in range, from the Home screen choose Settings > Wi-Fi. Tap a network to join it. If needed enter a password. The password will be the security password you set on your router(WEP/WPA key).

If you do not know your password, you can read my tech article by clicking here. It will go over how to obtain your router password.

If there are no Wi-Fi networks available then your phone will use the cellular data network and fee's may apply.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

C an not buy muisic, they said, i'm not connect to the internet

Hello,

You have to ocnnect your iphone to internet first , Follow below step to connect to internet

When you use any Internet enabled application, iPhone does the following in order until connected:
  1. Connects over the last Wi-Fi network you used that's available.
  2. If no Wi-Fi networks you've used are available, shows a list of Wi-Fi networks in range. Tap a network and, if necessary, enter the password to join. Networks that require a password show ht1695_1.jpg next to them.
  3. If no Wi-Fi networks are available or you choose not to join any, iPhone connects over the cellular data network.
Note: You can be on a call and use Wi-Fi or 3G1 at the same time. Other cellular data networks are unavailable while you're on a call.
Wi-Fi
  • Wi-Fi is often faster than cellular data networks. Wi-Fi networks cover limited areas. iPhone can join AirPort and other Wi-Fi networks at home, at work, or at Wi-Fi hot spots around the world.
When iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi icon ht1695_2b.jpg in the status bar at the top of the screen shows connection strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the connection.
  • To see all the Wi-Fi networks in range, from the Home screen choose Settings > Wi-Fi. Tap a network to join it.
  • Many Wi-Fi networks can be used free of charge, and some require a fee. To join a Wi-Fi network at a hot spot where charges apply, in most cases you can open Safari to see a webpage that allows you to sign up for service.
For information about configuring Wi-Fi settings, see the "Wi-Fi" section of the iPhone User's Guide.
Note: iOS devices sold in China may use the term Wireless LAN (WLAN) instead of Wi-Fi. Not all China iPhone models support WLAN; see this article for more information.
Cellular data networks
  • Cellular data networks allow Internet connectivity over the cellular network. Check your carrier's network coverage in your area for availability.
You can tell iPhone is connected to the Internet over a cellular data network if you see ht1695_utms_onb.png,ht1695_3b.jpg or ht1695_gprs_onb.png in the status bar at the top of the screen.
If you're outside your carrier's network, you may be able to use a cellular data network from another carrier. Roaming charges may apply.
Note: If not on 3G, while iPhone is actively transferring data over the cellular data network-downloading a webpage, for example-you may not be able to receive calls. Incoming calls may go to voicemail.
I hope , after this , you will be able to connect to Internet....

Thanks
Sandeep

Hoe can i connect my ipone to wiifi on my belkin router

Wi-Fi settings determine whether iPhone uses local Wi-Fi networks to connect to the Internet.
Turn Wi-Fi on: Choose Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on.
Join a Wi-Fi network: Choose Wi-Fi, wait a moment as iPhone detects networks in range, then select a network. If necessary, enter a password and tap Join (networks that require a password appear with a lock icon).
Once you join a Wi-Fi network manually, iPhone automatically joins it whenever the network is in range. If more than one previously used network is in range, iPhone joins the one last used. When iPhone is joined to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar at the top of the screen shows signal strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the signal. Set iPhone to ask if you want to join a new network: Choose Wi-Fi and turn "Ask to Join Networks" on or off. Join a closed Wi-Fi network: To join a Wi-Fi network that isn't shown in the list of scanned networks, choose Wi-Fi > Other, then enter the network name. If the network requires a password, tap Security, tap the type of security the network uses, and enter the password. You must already know the network name, password, and security type to connect to a closed network. Some Wi-Fi networks may require you to enter or adjust additional settings, such as a client ID or static IP address. You can type it manually by login onto the Belkin's network page using the browser and by copying the static and dynamic IP address.

How we connect internet to iphone

The iPhone can connect to the internet through both Wi-Fi and EDGE. Wi-Fi would be the wireless network at your home or business. When the iPhone connects to the internet through EDGE, it is actually connecting through the AT&T phone connection (or any other service provider the iPhone works with in the future).
safari.jpgTo the connect to the internet, you simply need to open up Safari (which is the internet browser used by the iPhone). If you're used to using a pc, think of Safari as the 'Internet Explorer' that the iPhone uses. You can use Safari the same way you could use Internet Explorer.
Once you open up Safari, the iPhone will attempt to connect to the internet. If there are wireless networks available wherever you happen to be, the iPhone will prompt you to choose one to connect to. If you're trying to connect to a network that has security, you will be prompted to enter the password for the network.
If you want to check to see whether there is a wireless network available where you live, work, or play, go to 'Settings' and then 'Wi-Fi'. The iPhone will show you all of the wireless networks that are available.
If there aren't any wireless networks to connect to, iPhone will connect to the internet over EDGE. Connection speeds over EDGE will likely be somewhat slower than they would be over a Wi-Fi network. You will also not be able to answer phone calls while connected to the internet through EDGE. If the iPhone is connected to the internet over EDGE you will see this small icon at the top of your screen: edge-icon.jpg

Iphone 3G-S will not connnect to BT Home Hub 2.0

First, Can your 3GS connect on ant other Wi-Fi? If so the issue is specific to configuration on either iPhone or BT Home Hub.
Second, Does BT Home Hub configured for any kind of mac-address security? Check that, if it does either remove it or add the iphone mac-address, you can find the iphone mac address under network setting.
Third, Does Home Hub have limit on number of devices that can connect to it, some do. check that and make sure that you increase the limit or just remove the restriction altogether.
Fourth, IS BT Home Hub Wep enabled? If so the password/key you are entring on your iPhone must be exactlythe same. Or just remove the wep encryption to see if your iphone 3GS can connect.
Fifth, If your old 3G is able to connect to your BT Home Hub, then just make sure you are not FAT fingering the keys and entering a different key.
