How do i change the battery on the dogtra element 1/2 mile training collar for dogs

As one might expect there are many models to choose from and you didn't specify the one you are asking about. Generally, these collars contain a rechargeable battery. The charger often has two leads so that the receiver and transmitter can be charged at the same time. Some of these units have exposed screws that when removed reveal the rechargeable battery. However, the manufacturer suggests returning the unit to them for battery replacement.

Door not closing all the way shut

top of the door hinge has a collar with holes drilled in it. there is or should be a roll pin in one of the holes which stops against a vertical pin. there is a torque rod in the door and this stop loads up like a spring as the door is opened to push the door closed. the torque rod is made to load up in either direction so they are compatible with left or right swing doors. they make a special tool for turning the collar and getting torque load but you can get it done with a small punch or two or even a couple of allen wrenches that will fit in the collar holes. you have to turn the collar to load up the torque rod and install the roll pin where it will do the most good. DO NOT put too much load on the rod it CAN and WILL break in the door. I usually open the door until I get a 3 or 4 inch gap and make sure it will close on its own from there. It usually only involves moving the collar two or three hole spots from neutral torque. If you cant get any torque or if it starts to load up and slips in the door than the rod is bad or the socket it sits in is stripped out.

Can't find reverse on my 91 Volvo 240. 5 spd manual transmission. Something is up with the detent collar or cable ...i think?

There are screws around the rubber boot. You can remove them and pull the boot up from beneath the carpet and see what is up. The detent collar is a pretty simple mechanism. There is a plastic stop that the shifter hits, and goes past when you pull up the collar. That plastic stop may need to be loosened and re-adjusted, or perhaps there is some foreign object in there that is keeping the shifter from moving to the end of its throw when you pull the collar.

Bought a new Fluidmaster from Home Depot and lost my instruction sheet in english......Colony FitRight two piece toilet. after flushing, the water still runs (most times) into the refill tube. It looks...

First, turn water off at wall valve under toilet. Next, find the plastic ring/collar almost at the bottom of the fluidmaster's shaft inside the tank. Pull UP on the locking ring/collar until it comes loose. This releases the upper shaft from the lower shaft and it can be pulled up or pushed down on the lower shaft to make the entire shaft taller or shorter. It has to be pulled or pushed over some plastic grooves, so it may take a bit of twisting and/or moderate force to move it. You must LOCK the ring/collar back down to the bottom of the upper shaft before turning the water back on. Locking the ring back down may require a bit of twisting back and forth to line up those grooves inside the shaft. Only turn water back on after this lockring is pushed securely back down, after adjusting the shaft height.

Assemble Swivel Assembly onto Kenmore Canister vac

Got this post off this web site...I just replaced my swivel and it worked:
http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/answers/Answers.action#l4q110567
To install a new swivel assembly, you will need 2 small, flat tip screw drivers. Unplug the vacuum. Push the screw drivers in between the hose and the collar where you see the seams in the plastic collar on the end where the hose enters the collar. This will release tabs that hold the collar to the swivel. Pry and pull the collar back over the hose and then pull the small screwdrivers out of the collar. Slide the collar back along the hose. Unplug the wiring connections from the hose. Pull the hose wires up and out of the holder on the swivel assembly. Lift the tabs on the side of the hose and pull it off of the swivel. Push the new swivel onto the hose. Align the hose wires and secure them in the holder. Plug the wires from the swivel into the hose wires (blue to blue, white to white). Secure the swivel wires into the wire holder on the swivel assembly. Push the collar back up the hose and onto the swivel with the plastic seams aligned with the tabs on each side of the hose. Snap the collar securely into place.
