Loose underthread and no zig zag

Lower thread tension can be adjusted by tightening (clockwise) the small screw in the bobbin case. The specifications call for 12-20 g resistance when pulling the thread slowly. I suggest tightening in increments of 1/8 turn and trying the machine each time. Also, mark the position of the screw in its original position should you need to return to the original setting and start over (use a piece of tape and place a mark where the slot in the screw is). I don't understand what you're saying about the zig zag problem.

Bobbin case inserting wrong

I suspect the "housing" you refer to is not seated completely. Be sure to wiggle it until it slips into place. Once it is seated, the bobbin case should seat firmly as well.

Have a lockstitch elite for granddaughter, the top stitch looks correct but the bottom stitches are bunching up. What do I need to do?

Check for proper threading, check the pressure foot is down. and check to be sure the bobbin is in correctly. (some turn clockwise, other counterclockwise) check tensions (both upper AND bobbin tensions). These can all be causing
the "underthread" to bunch or tangle. good luck and happy sewing.

How do i fix my sewing machine underthread keeps breaking

Bobbin thread breaks
1. There is a right way & wrong way to insert the bobbin in the case --when you insert the bobbin in if it doesn't stitch correctly turn the bobbin over see if that helps or bobbin case is not inserted correctly
2. Lint has collected in the bobbin holder
3. The bobbin is damaged & doesn't turn smoothly
4. Lower thread tension is two tight

Motor is spinning- needle not going up and down.

Check that the inner part of the flywheel is tightened up. This has to be loosened when winding a bobbin for underthread. Easy to forget to re-tighten it for sewing.

Small loops in the underthread

If the hook of the machine has a small burr on the point it can and will snag the upper thread and keep it from locking securely. The hook is what the bobbin case snaps on to. Take some light metal sanding material and polish the point to remove burr.

Lost sparepart

It is called a bobbin case and most sewing dealers will have this one. It should be a standard case with a finger sticking up from the top. If you have metal bobbins they probably have a lot of holes in them.

Bobbin case is moving out of place

I was having the same problem with my machine and finally the spring broke. I couldn't find any parts for this so my husband made me a new spring out of a coke can! LOL!! Anyway, he messed with it for a while and it kept doing it. He figured out that it was not the spring but the other piece under the spring was not pushed up far enough to keep the bobbin case in place so he took a screw driver and pushed it forward toward the bobbin case and now my bobbin case does not move!! And the machine is sewing perfect! At least for now. Anyway, it's not the spring or the thread adjusting screw!
