Started engine and it ran at about 600 rpm for 3 minutes before stalling and now it doesn't start at all. when it did run I floored the gas and absolutely no response, engine did NOT rev up. Checked codes with turning key on-off sequence and I got 10 flashes of the engine light. Had an OBD ii code reader but gave no codes. Any ideas before I have it towed to the garage?
No codes, but it was communicating? If no codes, it could be fuel pump. Have the fuel pressure checked. Do you hear it turn on for a couple of seconds, with key in on, not start? It should turn on briefly to pressurize the fuel lines and system. With key on, pressure should be pretty high, usually about 50 psi for MPFI.

Cycle the key on, off, on, off. on. Then count the flashes 12 is normal 55 is end of sequence

Looks like your fuel supply line has got chocked. This happens when the dirt from the gas tank comes into the fuel line when the tank is getting empty as it has happened in your case. Check your fuel filter and replace if required.

Yes, the chip in the key is not programmed to the computer for some reason. May have to take to dealer to fix this problem. The anti theft light coming on is a bad sign, where, for security reasons, if the key doesn't match up with what the antitheft computer expects, then the car's engine shouldn't work.
