How much does it cost to replace electonic control board

I have an he2 Kenmore gas dryer and it cost me $109 to replace my electric/main control board. My part was refurbished, but you wouldn't know it. It looked brand new when I got it and it's been working great. I've seen them for $250 brand new. They are easy to replace (just make sure you constantly touch the metal around your dryer to disburse any static electricity your body may have built up. You can fry your electric board with one shock of static electricity). My board had was held on by one screw and some tabbed slots. Very easy to DIY. I bought my part from a place called partsimple.com, here's the link:
TV parts Water Filter Washer parts Laptop Parts Replacement Parts...

They have overnight shipping if you need your part right away. I found them to be awesome. It's great to have my dryer back and working.

A repair man quoted me $450 to repair my dryer. I did it myself for $144 (the part and the overnight shipping).

How to remove wireless card

FOLLOW Anti-Static Procedures

Your body carries Static electricity. Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit), the delicate hardware components inside a computer.
Relieve your body of Static BEFORE, reaching inside your unplugged from power computer.

Computer on a table, computer unplugged from power, computer case open:
TOUCH an unpainted surface, of the metal frame of the open, empty desktop computer case.
This action will relieve your body of Static.

IF, you leave your computer in the middle of working on it, be SURE to Touch the metal frame again upon your return.

1) On the HP Support page above, click on - How to - in the list.
On the next page click on - Adding/Replacing hardware

Now click on -
Adding or Replacing an Expansion Card (Video Card/Sound Card,etc...)

[A video starts automatically when you go to the above page ]

Your Wireless Adapter Card is based on the PCI Express technology.
It uses a PCI-Express x1 slot,

One of the two small Black slots at the bottom of the motherboard.
(Longer Black slot is a PCI-Express x16 slot. This is for a graphics card - ONLY)

PCI-Express x1 slots, and PCI-Express x4 slots, do not use a Lock on them.
A PCI-Express x16 slot, does have a Lock on it. A small lock arm.
(Gently PULL UP a little, to install graphics card, or remove. It looks like you press down. Nope. Up. )

Where is the video card?

The video card is either on a riser card from your motherboard or integrated into your motherboard.
you can easily find out as it is the place your monitor plugs into your computer usualy with a blue 15pin D shaped plug.
or a larger white plug.

Ok so got black screen disconnected nvidia slot to on board monitor slot. seemed to be fine until restarted and back at black screen. sounds like loading upon startup. what say u?

The first thing you need to know about working on the inside of your computer is that if you don't ground yourself you can fry a graphics card and not even know it....You may have already done this....At the very least you should make sure that you're not on carpet and that you don't build up a static charge from your computer chair...If you build up a static charge like rubbing your feet on a carpet or sliding your **** off a vinyl computer chair...you can build up a static charge that can reach 30,000 volts......Yes, that little zap can do some real damage....At the very least...take off your shoes and socks and touch a friend or family member to make sure you don't have a charge.
You may want to turn off the computer...disconnect the graphics card...turn on the computer.....give it at least 15 seconds to a minute....(You won't be able to see anything)....Turn off the computer...(Hard shut down...Press the power button and hold it).....wait a minute and put the graphics card back in....turn on the computer....and hopefully your computer will recognize the graphics card and you will be able to see your system on the screen...Hope this helps....

Can I install one (1-gig) memory stick instead of 2 match pairs (only have one) this is to replace two 256 sticks?will it preform at 1 - gig memory

Yes.

The Maximum Total Amount of Ram Memory is 2GB.
(2048MB)
The Maximum Amount for EACH ram slot is 1GB.
(1024MB)

Ram should be installed in Slot 1, when using just one stick of ram.
This is the ram slot closest to the Processor.

The Processor reads ram memory that is installed in Slot 1, first.

This is Dell Support, and the main support page for the Dimension 3000 desktop computer,

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim3000/en/SM/index.htm

In the list left-click on - Technical Overview

Now click on - System Board Components

Number 1 is Slot 1.

Note*
Your body carries Static electricity. Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit) the delicate computer hardware components inside a computer.

Work on a table.
After you have opened the computer case, and BEFORE you remove that ram module from it's anti-static protective bag, TOUCH the metal frame of the open computer case. (Power unplugged from computer)

This will relieve your body of static.
Ignore the above if you are already aware.

Have iLive ihs3 2.1 speaker system. The speaker was sitting on top of the television, roommate was dusting the tv screen and elbow touched iLive speaker. There was like a static electricity shock, and...

Unfortunately I don't think so. TV"s can develop a huge static charge & dusting would increase it... that Discharge was a huge shot of Static Electricity, most likely fried ya output devices...

Ipod droped

Letting any electronic device go through a washing machine is not a good idea so I hope this was an accident. There is probably nothing that can be done to save your Ipod as fabric softner and soap that would be used are both things that would mess up the internal connections of any electronic device (not to mention the water). Assuming that the ipod did not also go through the dryer (which would create static electricity and probably fry the chips in the ipod also) you can try leaving the ipod sit out for a week or two and then hooking it up to a wall charger and waiting about five minutes to see if it will power on. I would recommend keeping something to put out an electrical fire handy if you decide to do this as I have seen Ipods catch fire when this is done. Also keep in mind the ipod will probably break down sooner rather then later if this works as the water will cause rust to occur on the inside of the device.

Ipod will not charge

The battery might be fried. Does it work while it is on the charger? If it does, then that means that it is fried. If that's the case, take it to the Apple store, and they can either replace the battery for you, or they can replace it.
