West Bend Slow Cooker error code: "E01". - holding "cook" button while plugging/unplugging did not fix the problem.

if you put something frozen or cold in it and let set for awhile without turning on then you must take it out let unit get room temp. then start it . E01 error means the unit is too cold to start.

West Bend Crockpot EO1 Error Code

<p>Your crockpot is giving you an <b>error code EO1</b>. Now you need to know how to get the code off of your crockpot so that you can use it. <br /> <p><br /> <br /> <p>First, let me explain what the code means. That code tells you that your <b>temperature sensor</b> did not calibrate correctly. Do not worry, this is usually just a temporary situation and the sensor can be reset through a few very simple steps.<br /> <p><br /> <br /> <p>The first thing to do is to unplug your unit from the electric socket. Leave it unplugged for at least ten seconds.<br /> <p><br /> <br /> <p>Then plug it back into the electrical outlet.<br /> <p><br /> <br /> <p>When you have it plugged back in, hit the <b>POWER</b> button once and then within one second hit the <b>COOK</b> button once.<br /> <p><br /> <br /> <p>Now the appliance should be ready to use.<br /> <p><br /> <br /> <p>If you have the problem again just repeat these steps to clear the error code.<br /> <p><br /> <br /> <p>This is how you can easily <b>fix the EO1 error code.</b><br /> <p><br /> <br />

Rival crock pot model number 38501. i dropped the outter part of my crock pot outside on concrete. when i plug it in the light turns on but when pressing the buttons light doesnt move and unit wont heat....

Nope! I guess not

What has happened I supsect is that the element has separated by the fall when you turn it updide down it makes contact to complete the circuit.
I am also of the opinion that this element is not replaceable so I think you are going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new one

Please rate my help++++Thanks for using FIXYA

When plugged in programmable timer blinks error

I don't know if this will work for you, but...
if the slow cooker has buttons that you push to program it, press and hold the buttons down while you plug the slow cooker in. Hold them down for a long count of 10 and then release them. It might reset the logic inside. Good Luck

Slow cooker will only stay on warm. How do I put

This slow cooker has 3 settings LOW, HIGH, & WARM
When you plug the slow cooker in the display should show a "0". When you press the "COOK TIME" button, the display should go to 1 then 2 then 3 etc. each time the "COOK TIME" button is pressed. If 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the "HIGH" setting. If 7,8,9, or 10 hours are selected, then the slow cooker will operate on the "LOW" setting. To start the cooking cycle press the "ON/OFF" button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at any time, press the "ON/OFF" button. When the cooking cycle is complete, your slow cooker will automatically switch to the "WARM" setting. If the "ON/OFF" button is pressed when the the digital display shows "0", then the slow cooker will automatically start on the "WARM" setting.
If the "COOK TIME" button does not change the display numbers then unplug the slow cooker and hold both buttons down as you plug the slow cooker in. Keep the buttons pressed for a count of ten, then release them and the slow cooker should work correctly

The manual basically says... This slow cooker has 3 settings LOW, HIGH, and WARM. W hen you plug the slow cooker in the display shows "0". To start the cooking cycle, press the "ON/OFF" button. To interrupt the cooking cycle at any tim, press the "ON?OFF" button. Displays E 01

Talked to the nice lady at West Bend. Apparently, the problem comes up when the unit is "cold"... whatever that means. She said to plug it in, wait a second, then push the power button, then "cook" immediately. No pause. Don't hold either button. I tried it, it worked on mine.

Apparently, this a feature for some reason.
