My Nordictrack E9.0 Elliptical machine has a loud squeek

I have found a possible source for your squeak. I have the same elliptical and had an annoying squeak in the front end of the machine. The squeak could be coming from the roller arm flex bracket and/or the pedal arm flex bracket. These brackets are secured to the front of the roller arms and the pedal arms with a single bolt. Tightening these bolts may help get rid of the squeak. If you don't have your manual, you can download the manual at the nordictrack website. The manual will have an exploded drawing of the elliptical. The roller arm bracket and the pedal arm bracket are numbered 135 and 136 and you will see which bolt I am talking about. I have had numerous issues with my elliptical but after changing some parts under warranty, it is working like new. Good luck.

Dryer making squeaking noise, what causes this?

The squeaking could be coming from the idler pulley on the motor, the drum rollers or a worn drum seal. It is not a good idea to spray the rollers with WD-40. The WD-40 will attract lint that will build up and could catch on fire inside the dryer cabinet. A bad drum support roller or any other squeaking component inside a dryer cabinet will normally need to be replaced.

My Gestetner dsc530 is squeaking when it prints.

A lot of the smaller copiers get random squeaks and squeals from time to time. Eventually some of them will go away, but if you want to try to get rid of it yourself, a can of compressed air is a good place to start.

Try to isolate the area where the squeaking is coming from, and blow some air into that part. Many times the squeak is from dirty bushings or rollers.

If that doesn't help and you can isolate the noise to a specific set of rollers, clean the rollers with either alcohol or D-ink and see if that makes a difference.

Hello,
The squeaking is often the guide rollers for the tub. The bearings get dry and squeak as they turn... a bit of oil my fix the problem till you can get new rollers. The other cause could be the belt tensioner pulley...that too can be fix temporarily by oil til a replacement can be found...

I have an Amana (M# ALE643RBW), when started the dryer squeaks for the first 10 minutes of the cycle, then slows to a squeak every 7 minutes... why? Maybe a bit of lube?

I have the same problem. While I have not fixed it yet, I assume it is a drum roller. Most dryers have two 4 to 5 inch diameter drum rollers which hold up the dryer barrel in the back. These drum rollers are wheels which have rubber on the outside where they touch the drum and a metal hole in their middle. They turn on a metal rod which goes through their middle. As the inside of the wheel turns on the rod, the metal gets eaten away and they squeak. Replacing one or both drum rollers should fix the problem.

My dryer works right it's just when it's running

Usually lound screeching and squeaking noises are caused by dry drum rollers. You need to lube the rollers or replace them. When I say lube the roller I mean the shaft and bearing part of the roller.

Squeaks & takes longer to dry

The squeaks are normally a sign of dry drum roller bearings. You either need to lube the shaft and bearing of the roller or replace the roller completely.
The drying problem sounds like you have a least one bad thermostat, need to check and replace the faulty thermostat

Maytag dryer squeaks during cycle

if replacing the rollers didn't fix the squeak, you need to replace the teflon drum slides and drum gasket material. mine sqalled so much it would run you out of the room. now it's quiet.

Squeaking

When the 'paper-dust' settles on the rubber rollers, they tend to squeak!. Blow/**** using a vaccum cleaner. Even after this if the squeaking persists, then apply 1 drop of a good lubricating oil, which is not very viscous. Watch oil is ideal. Ensure that only a drop is added just to lubricate. Excess oil can damage your documents and/or scanner. Ensure there is no bend in the roller. If there is a bend, you have to replace the roller.
