I try to turn my Hannspree SN1AT7 on and it will give me what looks like a trash can with a Red Lightning Bolt inside. This will only flash for a few seconds and then...nothing. It does this when I

I've had it for a week. I've only charged it once, the day I got it, and it told me to charge it for 10 hours...so I did. And now it seems to not even charge, and i've had it plugged in for several hours and it's giving me this Red lightning bolt for a few seconds...then nothing.

The battery may be defective. Maybe that symbol is suggesting it should be trashed.

Try another charger. Ebay sell them, very innexpensive.

How do i turn on the flash?

On the menu there should be an icon that looks like a yellow lightning bolt with a red circle around it and a red line thru it (this means that the flash is off)....in the lower right hand corner you should see a white lightning bolt. Tap the red circle 2 times and you should notice that the yellow lightning bolt now stands alone and the red circle and the red line has been removed (now your flash is on). Note: Each time you turn on the camera and you need flash, you will have to make this adjustment...I hadn't figured out a way so that it happens automatically..

THANKS.

The lightning bolt is the fill-flash symbol. Red-eye reduction is the eyeball symbol. Flash off is the lightning bolt in a circle with a slash through it. There's also an auto flash mode, represented by a lightning bolt with the letter "A".

Repeatedly press the flash button on the top of the camera to cycle through the flash modes.
