Reason of the three-phase UPS system stoped by cross current

One of the thee-phase UPS stoped by cross current. Someone put up the UPS breaker (before the time, other UPS did bypass driving). Then the UPS condender exploded. After that, other UPS was stop by overload.

We have to make a explanation report to our custmer this month.
Please tell us our problem, especially the reason that UPS stoopped by the cross current.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Wells deep fryer 208 volt 3 element. 1 element works other two don't working left to right. Continuity good resistance good. Relay problem?

Sounds like this maybe a three phase unit and you are powering it off on single phase power. Most can be converted to single phase but will draw three times the current and requires some wiring changes. It needs to be on a three section breaker for 3 phase.

My limited research indicates this heater is designed for USA electrical systems. That would mean single phase, 240/208 volts, 60 Hz. The drawings I reviewed shows a 2 pole, 240 volt breaker feeding each heating circuit. That means no "neutral wire" goes to the heater and therefore no 120 volts is needed. This is good. Kenya's system is single phase, 240 volts, 50 Hz. The heater should work reasonably well on the African system. Connect the power just like you would in the US.

How can i get single phase power from my 3 phase generator

I have not wire this myself
Wiki says under heading of single-phase:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-phase_electric_power
Single-phase loads may be connected to a three-phase system in two ways. A load may be connected across two of the three phase conductors or a load can be connected from a live phase conductor to the system neutral. Single-phase loads should be distributed evenly between the phases of the three-phase system for efficient use of the supply transformer and supply conductors. Where the line-to-neutral voltage is a standard utilization voltage (for example in a 230 V/400 V system), individual single-phase utility customers or loads may each be connected to a different phase of the supply. Where the line-to-neutral voltage is not a common utilization voltage, for example in a 347/600 V system, single-phase loads must be supplied by individual step-down transformers.

So it sounds like you take 2 legs of the 3-phase.
or
Take one leg of the 3-phase and connect to neutral ... neutral could be a ground rod.

I would put a meter on that circuit before hooking up my power saw.

What is the use of wye delta?

I don't know why your question is bound to this special breaker.

If your question is common, the wye/delta is a way to reduce the starting current of a large three phase asinchronous motor.
When a three phase motor is first connected in wye (star), the starting (peak) current is about 3 times less than this in delta. When already in motion the electromotive force will make the peak current when turned in delta much less, than that with a stopped motor.

How to solve single phase lost in UPS at input end

What size UPS and make and model?

First make sure your utility is reaching the UPS and it's not on that end, sounds like the problem might be with your input power not the UPS.

If power is getting to the unit, you may have a failed power component internally, such as a fuse or transistor.
