I need help! I'm recently retired! My hobby hopefully will be airbrushing people's pets ,cats, dogs on medium conducive to airbrush paint and ready to frame! How do you paint pets?

Not quite sure what sort of an answer you are looking for. If you have experience with airbrushing and have an artistic touch then painting pets should not be a problem. Have the owner supply a couple of good quality photos and paint from those. Most animals will not sit still long enough to allow for painting. If you have never airbrushed before then the best thing would be to check local resources for classes on air brushing. My son took some classes from a local artist and really enjoyed it.

Yes, it matters while this is not suitable to go with. Because it will not mix perfectly that you can go for either your house or your car.

What's the best way to clean an oil painting. It looks as if this painting might have hung in a smokers home and is dingy and a bit 'yellowed'. I'm an artist and have access to quite a number of produ

Look at the back of it to see if it has yellowed. If there are yellow stains on the frame and the back, then it is not the varnish in the oil paint that has yellowed. You can then use something like 409 cleaner to get the stains off. You should blot the painting and not scrub or wipe it. If the varnish is yellowing you can get a product called conservationists liquid and apply that as per the directions to help with the varnish problem.

What is sketching?

Artists often sketch out their thoughts for a painting before actually painting it. Sketch sets have paper, pencils, colors and other items such as pastels, and charcoal that one would need for sketching purposes. A sketch is the first step you need to do before you start painting.

How to remover the distrbutor with out getting it

Onced the distributor is removed it will be out of time for its not there no longer. I know what you really mean so start with this. Get a small artist paint brush and some white paint. This works the best. Now clean all areas of the base of the distributor and the mounting area the distributor goes into. Now etched the distributor and the mounting area at the same place. Now brush some of the white paint on the scribed marks and wipe off the paint. The scribed mark should hgold the white paint leaving a good indicator for your marking. Next remove the distributor car. Have a digital camera? Take a photo of the distributor with the cap off. The rotor will have to be at the same location upon re installing the distributor.. If you do not have a camera, mark the base of the distributor were the rotors terminal end is. The position taken out must be returned to the same spot when installing.

Losing green / torquoise tones

I'm betting you just have to adjust the white balance properly.  The D80 allows you to set the white balance against a grey target.  There are two ways of doing this.  First, you can put a reference grey target right on the painting, set it, and then remove the target while using the white balance you just set.  Alternatively, you can cover the lens with a diffuser of some sort, like a piece of white paper and hold the camera right where the painting will be, but pointed back towards where the light is coming from so that the diffuser is being bathed in that same light.
In case you don't know how to set the preset white balance, I suggest checking the manual.  I use a D70s, so the procedure may be very slightly different on the two cameras, but the idea is the same.  The key is that if you do this, you are pretty much guaranteed to get proper colors every time - not just now, but anywhere.  I do this often.  All that is required is a perfectly neutral patch (white to black, but with no color at all) that is being lit with the same light as you are trying to photograph in.  It takes about 5 seconds and presto - perfect white balance.  Note that this is for making pictures that look EXACTLY LIKE THEY WOULD IN PURE WHITE LIGHT.  So, it isn't for capturing proper sunsets, etc.
Good luck.
