Question about Krups EA8250 Fully Automatic Espresso - Black

Open Question

Piston Seal Leak

I have a piston seal leak on my EA8250. If these o-rings are readily available in a local hardware store, what size am I trying to find? I assume it's metric so might be a bit tricky. Thanks in advance.

After installing o-rings that were "close enough", the Krups is filling the cup with some coffee, while there is water coming out the base near the back of the unit. Ideas?

One last thing. When I called Krups I had already opened the out-of-warranty machine. They were prepared to extend the warranty until I told them I had removed the front panel.

Engine runs out of oil in less than one week, and engine raggs.

what do you mean by engine raggs? Is the engine using oil are is it leaking? if the engine is leaking then you need to find out where it is leaking oil from then replace the seal. if the engine is burring oil then you need to replace the piston rings. you and go to your local auto parts store and get some oil stop leak is the easiest fix.

Why can`t my compressor pump over ten pounds ?

You didn't state what model compressor you have so in gerneral: if you have no leaks, remove the air pump head to check the reed valves on the valve plate and the condition of the piston, piston ring(s) and cylinder. If the reed valves are broken or warped from heat they won't seal properly. If the piston ring(s) are broken or the cylinder is badly scored air will leak past the piston instead of compressing and going into the tank.

I have Bostitch RN45 coil nailer. It sometimes does not feed nails. When I open the magazine the driver blade has not retracted. Gun does not leak, o-rings in drive section look to be in good shape and...

Causes of piston not retracting are as follows. Cracked /worn bumper, if cracked air will leak between piston and bumper. Try test, remove nails and dry fire gun against rubber or soft wood; depress trigger push gun against wood/rubber and hold in this position. Piston should stay down and no air should leak past nose. Worn piston oring, piston should not slide down cylinder under its own weight. Loose or missing check seal, remove cylinder and look for black rubber band around series of holes. Band should be in place and fit snuggly. Good luck

you have lost compression on your piston o ring, instead of air pushing the piston back for the next nail its going around the piston , and the proof is that your piston will move with a simple tap. please replace all orings, because if one is worn the others arent far behind, if you dont replace all , at least replace the piston one and all the cylinder ones,,o rings kit are available at your nearest nail store or try toolpartsdirect.com plz rate this answer,,tks

OIl leak in 2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo

valve cover gasket is like $20 and a do it yourself job, just buy a manual like a chiltons from an auto parts store. if it was valve cover, the smoke would be coming from engine, not tailpipe.

rear seal is in between engine and tranny, this would cause oil to leak on ground, but not to burn

if smoke is coming from tailpipe, your piston rings might be going bad. that is an expensive repair, but switching to synthetic oil may give you several more years of life out of the piston rings, synthetic oil has a way of soaking into bad piston rings and temporarily making them like new again, unless they are already too far gone.
