Are your Speakers dual or single voice coil? The best way to find a wiring diagram is look at the rockford fosgate web site. I ll give you a tip to keep in mind. when wiring the ohms of a sub when you wire it in parallel positive to positive and negative to negative on one speaker you have left it in 2 or 4 ohm configuration depending on speakers. When in a series the ohm load will change by wiring positive and negative together will give you a lower ohm the more speakers you add to the amp. Fosgate will let you see how its done

SOURCE: how to wire up my

Well first of all all solobarics are dual voice coil so you have 2 2ohm voice coils so if you wire them in parallel the sub will be pulling a 1ohm load wich would in time blow out your amp. So you want to wire both voice coils in series to produce a 4ohm load.

SOURCE: Wiring

You have 2 subs and 2 amps right? In that case make sure that the amps are capable of stable 1ohm load and also you'll need a lot of power and 4 gauge power cable for each amp with fuse of course.
Now....take one sub and connect the (-) with the (-) and the (+) with the (+).Now you have one (+) and one(-) to connect to the amp.Do the same with the other sub and you're ready to rock!!

How to wire jbl gto7001 amp to put out 2 ohms to a dual voice coil sub

The wiring of the amp is not what makes it 2ohm or 4ohm, it is the resistive load of the sub, The issue is that your sub, assuming it is the L5 Kicker mentioned above has dual 2ohm voice coils, This means that if run in series will provide a load of 4ohms which will work fine but not make the most of the amp which would only be supplying 425w of it's potential 700w.

if you wire the voice coils in parallel you will end up with a load of 1ohm which will cook the amp.

here is a link to a page that explains how it all works.

How do you wire four 12 inch kicker cvr dual voice coil, to a 2400 watt 1 channel class d amp

Hello brysonford00,

The wiring configuration depends on what final impedance you want the amp to see. If the subs are 4ohm DVC's, you can wire them to present a 2ohm impedance or an 8ohm impedance. The diagrams are here. If your subs are 2ohm DVC's, the wiring is the same. The impedances will be 1ohm and 4ohms.

Hope this helps.

DONT KNOW HOW TO RUN 2 OHMS

Hello storres18,

If you have the Kicker model number 06CVX122, with dual 2ohm voice coils, they can be connected to a mono amp at 2ohms. First jumper the voice coils in series, the dotted positive (+) to the undotted negative (-) (or vice versa). Each sub is now 4ohms. Then wire both of the remaining positives and negatives together on the amp terminals (in parallel). The amp sees a 2ohm load. Here's the diagram:

If you have the Kicker model number 06CVX124 with dual 4ohm voice coils, they cannot be wired to present a 2ohm load. They can only be wired as a 1ohm load (too low for the amp) or as a 4ohm load (at reduced power). Here is the diagram of the 4ohm wiring:

Hope this helps.
