Cleaned filter when reinserting filter there is a electronic car on two wires dangling blocking the filter, I do not know where it should be located
Leaned filter when reinserting filter there is a electronic sessor attached to two wires dangling blocking the filter from being inserted, I do not know where the sensor should be located so I clipped it to the tubes on the evaporator coil. The unit is not running properly, the humidity indicator goes from 55 to 32 then up to 80 then down to 45 while the unit is running. I feel heat from the rear of the unit but I do not believe that I placed the sensor mentioned above in the correct location. I need a diagram to show me where it belongs and what direction its facing.

Hello Ann, this is JK. I understand that you are looking for the location of the filter in a dehumidifier. Generally, you will need to remove the bucket to be able to reach under to remove the filter. Please refer to your owner's manual for more detailed care and cleaning instructions. Hope this helps!
Error code 67 is an airflow problem. Either clogged filter or bad blower motor. Unplug unit remove bucket and feel for filter in front behind cover it drops down. Clean filter with water and reinsert. Plug unit in turn to "on", fan should begin to run, after 3-5 minutes compressor should start. If fan does not start it is bad and should be replaced.
Hazel, I assume you want to know how to find and remove the filter for cleaning.
The filter is located behind the front air intake louvers and depending on which model you have, the filter can be accessed one of two ways. Before you attempt to remove the filter turn the unit OFF and unplug it.
1. Remove the bucket from it's holder. Look up inside the bucket cavity, just inside the unit behind the louvers and you will see a tab type pull handle. This is the handle to the frame of the filter. Pull it down and out.
2. As you're facing the unit on the fight side just behind the louvers, there will appear to be a trap type door. Open this door and you will have access to pull the filter out.
You can clean the filter in one of two ways: Vacuum it or it it's really dirty, wash it in warm soapy (dish washing liquid), rinse and dry thoroughly. NEVER operate the dehumidifier without the filter in place. Doing so, can cause damage to the unit.
Yes, they do. The filter is located behind the louvers on the front. To remove it for cleaning, grasp the Filter Handle on the right side of the unit, on the same level as the louvers and pull it out. Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or luke warm water and a mild detergent. Thoroughly dry the filter before reinserting it.
The filter is located on the right aside of the unit, behind the louvers on the front. To remove it, look for the finger hole on the side and pull the filter out. You can either vacuum the filter or wash it in tap water. If washed, be sure it's thoroughly dry, before reinserting it into the unit. CAUTION: Never remove the filter with the unit ON.
If you're not getting any indicator lights, check the receptacle that it's plugged into. Is their power to it? If not, the circuit breaker in your home's circuit breaker panel may have been tripped. Or the outlet itself may be faulty (loose wire, poor connection, etc). If the indicator lights are working, but the compressor is not, turn the Master ON/OFF switch on the unit to OFF and wait 10 minutes before plugging it back in. This will give the electronics time to reset themselves.
Turn off the dehumidifier machine and unplug it from the wall.
Lift the water bucket up and out of the dehumidifier.
Locate the filter located under the compartment that houses the water
bucket. Lift the filter straight up and out of the dehumidifier.
Vacuum as much of the visible dirt and debris as possible.
Fill a sink half full with water. Place the filter in the water and allow it to soak for one to two minutes.
Wipe both sides of the filter with a wet sponge to remove any remaining dirt and debris. Rinse the filter with clean water.
Wipe the filter with a dry cloth to remove excess moisture. Allow it to
air dry for approximately 30 minutes before inserting it back into the
How often does the unit run? Does the fan run when the unit is suppose to be running(as the fan pulls the air thru the filter). If every thing operates correctly and the filter is in the right location on the unit then all I can say is that you keep a clean house. Personally I only need to clean the air filter on my dehumidifier about once a summer. I wouldn't be overly concerned if it isn't getting very dirty.
Usually due to dirty filters or maybe a drain tube blocked.. Or sometimes the casing is damaged & the lining has moisture in it. Therefore when the device is running, it freezes the moisture in the lining.. If it's the drain tube, you might be able to clean it with a long bit of wire & some bleach.. That can kill any mold thats grown in the drain.. Let me know how you go..
